November 22

I remember this news with Walter Cronkite,
i think it´s one of the most looking report
during the last century, maybe more then
view´s of the moon landing.

You´re welcome, it reminds me to a summer in 1963
when JFK visit Berlin and the drive down the Clayallee
in a blue-metallic Lincoln Convertible, JFK sit in the
middle, on his right site the old chancellor Konrad
Adenauer and on his left the city mayor Willy Brandt.

I was a six year old boy, wearing a navyblue suit
and stands maybe 3 yards away from then, when the
pass to his historic speech in front of Cityhouse
with his famous words "Ich bin ein Berliner."

The old Berliners still love him for that.

Amazing that you remember that!

That was a solid message to Khrushchev that the West would never surrender West Berlin.

Khrushchev basically gave up after that.
