I am trying to submit a new segment of a story (3rd installment in a series of 5). I have submitted, submitted, and re-submitted over the course of a week and still have no "views," indicating that it is not being properly received for editing. I had this problem in the past, but repeated submission overcame it. Not this time. Suggestions?

First, before you submit your work for acceptance, contact an editor to look it over for you. Next, copy the body of your story into the text box provided on the submission form. Click the "Preview" button to make sure that you can see your work, and then click the submit work button.

It make take a while for approval, but the Lit goddess will not forget you.

Thanks, but you missed my point. I've done what you suggest over and over without any indication that the submission is being seen by anyone. Any other ideas?

Maybe send a PM to Laurel asking if there is something wrong with the system?

It's not uncommon for stories to show no views before being accepted. Alot of mine show none or only 2 views before they are posted.

When you open your story and then "resubmit" it, you are sending it back to the end of the line, so it will take even longer for it to be approved.

Submit it and leave it alone. If it hasn't posted within 7 days, shoot Laurel a pm and ask if there's a problem.

I think there may be something odd in the system of late when it comes to views. My most recent poem was up and had one vote and still showed no views. :D

Don't Resubmit It

If you keep resubmitting the story, it will keep going to the end of the queue. And won't ever make it to the front. Patience is the only way out of the purgatory of waiting.

It can take 3-7 days or sometimes longer for something to be posted, depending on how much is going on.

So sit back and try to relax.
