I've always been a huge fan of Horace Silver, who doesn't seem to get much recognition these days but is still going strong at age 82. He's written so many great songs, but this one is a true classic:

I really dislike when Madeleine Peyroux is referred to as the "The Billie Holiday of the new millennium."
