Notes from the Road

Wanna be generous and share? *bats eyelashes*

Sure. I'll even take sloppy seconds and lick her asshole while you eat her pussy.

We'd have to bathe her first though. I only do clean asses. And only nice ones. I'm sure hers is quite nice. ;)

Well, I guess we shouldn't rape her on her own thread.

The irritating part is I know that all they're going to do is show up and flip a switch or push a button and a week-and-a-half is a long time to wait for that. I used to know the local cable guy, so it wasn't an issue but he's no longer with the company. Bummer.
I assume you're getting cable and Internet through cable? And I assume that the last person to live there also had cable, because the cable is still there? If the above is true, then more than likely they will have to come and climb the pole outside your place and connect it, if you live in a house. If you live in an apartment, they will have to come, open up a box in some common area of the apartment complex and connect your cable there.

But, even though they do need to come out for this, it does seem like a long time to wait for a connection. They must not have any competition for your business. That's just wrong. Everybody should have competition. It keeps us at our best.

If you would have enclosed a picture of you in that red dress...I bet you'd been connected on the first day. :D I thought a worldly woman like you knew how to deal with the cable guy.

I got a dish and I'll never go back to cable. When they try to tell you it goes out a lot they are lying. Cable goes out a heck of a lot more. I can watch a recording while I'm recording two other things. And if you want any changes just call them and in 5 mintues it's done.

Brooke is going AMAZING...almost 14 pounds now! She's going in for her shots on the 30th...it's going to take every ounce of self control in me not to cry when she cries getting them. :(

You killed that dress, lady. I agree with Netz, if you were mine, dresses would be your closet must.

Welcome back! The TV's have not arrived on our pumps yet. I'm curious to know if they will, and how a TV fares in -25?

Well, there's none here in the frozen wilderness, so I can't answer with certainty, but I'm sure the TV brains are working on it right this minute.

Hot dress. If I were able to boss you around I'd be putting you in the high drag, sister.

I pray that there will never be TV's at the gas station. I gotta escape those fucking things somehow.

Welcome back, K!

Thank you, Gracie! What? You don't want to catch up on those missed episodes of Spongebob while you fuel up??

We don't have TVs on ours yet, just those annoying 'do you want fuel additive?' machines.

Oh hey Keroin. We've faithfully added penguins to every mad lib since you were out.

Can't say I've experienced the fuel additive nightmare yet. Sounds positively wretched.

's for the penguin references, (will read later, promise).

It's great to see you back, Keroin! You look like you've been having a fantastic time. :)

Thank you and I have! My dentist had a good laugh to see how excited I was about getting my teeth cleaned - yeah, I'm easily entertained these days.

Small town, what can you do? Thank Cod for unsecured wireless networks!! I'm in an apartment, too, which means I actually have a small selection of networks. Even better.

If you would have enclosed a picture of you in that red dress...I bet you'd been connected on the first day. :D I thought a worldly woman like you knew how to deal with the cable guy.

LOL. I have been removed from the world for too long, obviously. How could I forget to use my sexuality to garner special treatment? Duh. *headwall*

Welcome back! Good to see you again! :rose:

Thanks!! I'm very smiley to be back in Litworld.

(WD and StrayKat behave yourselves! Yeesh, what kind of discussion board is th...oh wait, never mind. Carry on.)

Oh almost forgot to say I bought a truck. It's a 2008 Ford 150 long-box. I call her "Blanca" and I love her.

Very cool! (Is 14lbs good? Sorry, I'm ignorant of baby stuff).

I'm glad I'm not the only one who cries when getting needles. Whew.

You should see the shoes I wore with the dress. I surprised even myself. Darn, silver-tongued sales girl. Here's a bad opening line to use in a clothing store, FYI: "I've been on a small, remote island for two years and I have no dress clothes and no idea what is in fashion anymore, can you help me?"

$550 later...

Hi Rida! (Nice AV - rawr!)

Well, I strive not to be irregular. It's getting better since I started taking Metamusil every morning.

Thanks!

and ... LOL! I walked right into it, haven't I?

MMM, yes, that sounds logical to me. The suite in Vegas not only had a giant bath tub but also a plasma screen TV over the tub. I would wake up at 4am, while Chuck was still sleeping, go run a bubble bath and watch mindless drivel on the box. It was very decadent.

Dude, the TV can now be found everywhere. Truly frightening. In Vegas, they had little TV's above the roulette wheels, I even saw TV's in a bank, the Cactus Club restaurant has mini TV's on the doors of the bathroom stalls, and one gym I went to had a mini TV on every piece of cardio equipment. Ugh!

Yes! At the Venetian they had two TV in the main room, one in the bathroom and one in the toilet!

Now if the toiled TV was hooked up to the internet ... ;)

You looked killer hot in the dress! And now that you mentioned the shoes ... we want to see them!

Pretty please??? :rose::rose::rose:

#16. Individuality is being crushed at an alarming rate.

Oh, so true, and the saddest part is most people don't realise it (sort of similar to abused women who do not initially realise what is beginning to happen as it is all so carefully and slowly introduced) and when they do, it will be too late. We are being programmed to be a number, constantly monitored by a so called democratic government which claims to believe in freedom, and watch out if you dare question or step out of the line they have drawn. If your fellow citizen doesn't find a way to punish you, the government will. Please people, switch your brains back on full power, and take a real look at what is happening around and to you. Ironically, a very good friend of mine from the US whose family had always been linked to those in political power, predicted much of what I see happening now, 20 years ago...I always hoped it was just his imagination going wild, but it wasn't.

Yes, 14 pounds is very good. She's almost 3 months old now, so you can imagine, I bet.

550 bucks is a small price to pay for fashion. Well, that's just my opinion. *blocks the entrance of her overstuffed closet* DON'T LOOK IN THERE! You'll think I'm a crazy ass clothes horse....

.....And you'd probably be right.

Your wish is my command... (just call me Bigfoot - yikes that's a big photo!)

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who feels this way, (and I appreciate the irony in that statement). I'm with you on all of the above.

I love the town I'm living in now precisely because individuality is not just accepted but encouraged. The difference between this place and the urban area I lived in several years earlier is now impossible to miss, at least to me. But it disturbs me to see how many people are quite happy to go on gobbling up whatever is spoon fed to them - even (especially) those who are in a position to choose to live otherwise. Frankly, it scares me.

*swoon* & *drool*

Cannot wait to go to Vegas for shoe shopping!!!!
And check out the lingerie store at the Wynn ... they had a gorgeous corset on display last time. Good thing I did not discover the store until the last night, after it was closed. LOL

ETA: USD 550 for those shoes and dress? You got a bargain babe!

A few vacation photos. (You have to provide the slide show "ka-klunk" sound effects yourself, sorry.)

Big night on the town, in Sin City, with the Chuckster. Yep, this is my annual girl-clothes moment...

http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac126/Keroin/Thedress.jpg

p.s. Hey, is it US Thanksgiving?
You should wear girl-clothes more often (besides the obligatory palm fronds and bikinis ;) ).

No, US Thanksgiving is this coming week, 11/26.

Good luck on that. I always cry with them. And, when possible, I make K take them for shots.

Thank you, Gracie! What? You don't want to catch up on those missed episodes of Spongebob while you fuel up??

I think I'd cry. Or go stark raving mad. Since I'm only raving mad, that'd be a step up.

Wow, those shoes are awesome!!

LOL. Actually, I bought the shoes because they were unexpectedly comfortable. Not as comfy as flip flops, mind you, but comfy enough to walk for ages and ages without blisters. And I got more than the dress and shoes for my money. I also got a pair of dress pants, a skirt, a jacket and a dress top. So, now I feel pretty good about it all :D

Hm, I will take that under advisement. There's just not a heap of places in the wilderness to wear such attire.

Whew, still time for another excuse to eat turkey!

If you want to get some girly clothes that won't break your bank, go to this site.

http://www.amiclubwear.com/index.html

I've seen shoes and clothes as low as 2.99 USD!

TWO NINETY NINE!!!1!1

You crack me up. I'm good for girly clothes for about another decade, (though I'll check out the link...because I can, mwa ha ha!). What I need now is a new pair of long underwear, and quick! Oooo, and electric socks would be nice.

Wouldn't they shock your feet?

*airhead giggle*

Wal-Mart has long johns. I got some on Monday for me and Mister. 7.50 USD for a top and the same for a bottom set.

You should feel good! You got a loot for that money! :)

As for high heel shoes: if they are properly designed and you buy the right size they should be comfortable! The secret is on the heel positioning and where your barycenter falls when you stand up: it should be positioned so that it falls right under your heel where the bulk of your weight falls. And for blisters, nothing like shoes that are too big to get blisters.

Ops ... does it shows that I'm a bit crazy about high heel shoes???

Now I want to go shoe shopping!!!! and there is no room left in my shoe closet .... *pout*

It's nice to see both Keroin and Catalina back on the same day. :rose: We have all missed you.

Here in New York City, they've installed cameras everywhere. About five years ago, my husband took my kids on a guided walking tour in Manhattan where they pointed out every camera in Greenwich Village. For the next few months, my kids pointed out the surveillance cameras (both public and private) everywhere they went.

The cameras have apparently had a significant impact on street crime, but then so did community policing.

Welcome home!

Keroin dear, you do realize that between the dress and the shoes, I now desperately want to overhaul your entire lingerie wardrobe, right? :D

Welcome back to "civilization". :rose:
