Not your Granddad’s Black Lung.

And when the kids say...nah...not gonna do that..look at my dad...and there is no other work in those communities...why is it a surprise they turn to manufacturing meth or growing weed?

Not quite the response I expected.

Truth hurts huh. Especially for people like you that has their head so far up their ass.

Do some research. Pick a coal producing state. Any state you wish. Your choice. Then look at the drug arrests in that state. Remember...you get to pick the coal producing state. Why is it...the coal producing counties have such a "drug" problem?

Google "relationship coal production and drug use".

If you don't like that one...switch "drug use" with "addiction".

Numbers don't lie

I live in a historic coal mining area; most towns had hospitals paid for by miner's contributions (via the unions, shock-horror) to treat lung diseases. All those miner's hospitals are now closed, now the mines are shut.
Also the black dust that lay on every flat surface and washed down the street in the rain is gone. Nobody wants the mines to reopen.
