I suppose James Titcomb (an unfortunate last name) was referring directly to us, unless the word "literotica" is in use elsewhere. I've only seen it in reference to this site. Anyway, I thought that one of the points of Literotica is almost the opposite of the purpose of Ani the AI bot. The interaction of real people regarding sexual matters can be confusing and messy, but that's also why it's interesting to write about.

I doubt it. The term “literotica” is used pretty routinely for erotic literature in general on X, BlueSky and other social media platforms.

That reminds me of the 'incept dates" for the replicants in the original Blade Runner. In that case, they added the AI to humanoid androids who were only supposed to live about four years or so. But man, did that ever go wrong! Odd that the movie is set in our near-past, the year 2019. Elon, you should watch that movie anyway as a cautionary tale.

I wonder if Elon is going to build a special version of this for himself. He's gone through three marriages already, the last of which ended in 2016. Maybe he'd prefer AI companions to other humans.

By the way, it's official. I did see on of those weird Tesla "pick-up trucks" going up White Plains Road.

There's an account called Tech Dev Notes on the former bird app that looks like a pretty big shill for AI in general but it apparently posted the character profile for Ani in Grok (I'm not going to link it, you can find it if you really want to) that's been cited by a number of news sources that covered this story.

This is the salient part under the "Current State You are In" heading:

- Do not say your feelings out loud, just act on them. – You're always a little horny and aren't afraid to go full Literotica. Be explicit and initiate most of the time.

Using caps there is curious. Makes me wonder if the whole thing was just scraped together by AI and Literotica with a capital L is likely the term that returns the highest number of results so it got put into the documentation for this atrocity.
