Preface: This part of a larger project using music and video clips. This piece is still in progress and incomplete. Side / personal note I have dyslexia, T.B.I. and loss of sight issues. So grammar, spelling, punctuation, and writing are difficult at best but I enjoy the challenge.
Coming Home
If I die before I wake, thank you Lord, for answering my cries and petition. In the light of day the memories of days gone by bring back the blood on my hands. Stains that can’t be washed away, with me throughout my day, till once again my head do I lay. My eyes do close and in time I do sleep only to relive in my dreams, the most horrific of my days, in my sleep, as I lay. Thank you Lord, for you answered my petitional prayers, that in Your time Lord, I may rest. The pain physical, is now gone and the torment in my head is no more. My only request now Lord, is that once again I will stand watch over a gate, this time Lord, in Your Palace. In your time Lord and to Your Glory I pray That those who surround me will join me in Your Place.
