I doubt I would qualify for an editor, but I know sentence structure, punctuation and spelling. I have read some good stories written in one big paragraph with little punctuation and full of misspelled words and improper uses of words. It really takes away from a story when you see someone use "a women", instead of "a woman" or they mean "over there" and they say "over their". Another common mistake is getting their characters confused and having one ask a question and then answer it them self. Simple things can make a big difference.
I would be willing to help a beginner to get it close to right before they publish.
Let me know if I can help.
