North to the Future

That's sad.

I think Misty Fjord is about the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure it was from an Otter that day, rather than a Beaver, and I don't recall the
name of the tour operator. It seemed primitive a primitive but reliable aircraft. I was there to sight see, not annoy the pilot with questions.

Are most float planes original equipment, or do they usually have avionics upgrades?

Lots of commercial guys have added to the avionics in the old planes. It just makes sense. Still, there are places you should only fly VFR unless national security is in danger.

Dr Anne says:

"I try to ask every patient in the emergency department who is unvaccinated if they have questions about the COVID vaccine. The usual answer is a hard no.

Last night I had 5 patients say yes, we had great conversations and I think all 5 will choose to get vaccinated today."

Bomber Glacier without the bomber would just be another fucking ice cube.

Not many have bombers in them, although there are several planes in others. One of my high school classmates, Jerry, is still in the wreckage of the plane on an ice fall on a glacier on Mount Gerdine.
