Beach shacks aren't architectural wonders. They are a place to get out of the rain and get warm in summer. And, if they disappear over the course iof the winter due to storms, it is what it is.

Some neighbors in the 'hood got a little scare, today. I'm happy things turned out better than worse.

"Be aware of a cow moose on E. 142nd Ave. just east of Goldenview. My wife & I were out for a walk about an hour ago when the moose burst out of the woods very near to us. We made it across the road but both fell. The moose stomped my wife before I could get up yelling & waving my arms which worked initially. My wife is ok with the exception of cut & bruised legs along with a very sore shoulder. The moose made another run but I was able to deploy the bear spray at very close range which deterred her temporarily. I'm positive she was going to charge again based on her movements. As we were preparing for this I could hear a car coming up the hill blasting it's horn. They positioned the car between us & the moose which was a god send. They also took us home, unfortunately in the moment I've already forgotten their names. They were driving a small burgundy SUV & lived very close to where this happened. My wife & I are very grateful for their care & concern. Thank you so much."
