"Saturday evening Girdwood Fire responded to the report of an 18yr old man stuck on a rock in Turnagain Arm. A group was celebrating on the rock when the tide came in and they had to swim to shore and in the process lost their shoes. One man became stranded 225 feet offshore. Firefighter Nessa Cutler swam to the rock in the rising tide and assisted the man safely back to shore."
