North to the Future

I recognize that green leafy stuff in the right corner, but I'm having a senior moment with the name of it...
Isn't it toxic?
Pushki. It bothers a lot of people. A little contact with the plant and some sun on the contact area, and they get burns. I have never had a problem. When I was a kid, we used the stalk for sword-fighting. You can eat parts of the plant when they are young.

Thanks. I guess I call it cow parsnip, but think of it as poison hemlock family and "handle with gloves only."

Sitting on the deck enjoying a glass of Pinotage before starting up the grill for burgers. The seagulls are squalking “mine, mine, mine, mine”. Noisy fuckers they are.

"Did you know that ranch dressing was invented in Alaska? Steve Henson, a plumber turned cowboy perfected his buttermilk recipe while cooking for co workers on a plumbing contract job in Alaska in 1949."

So I'm told....

In case you're wondering, I will not be even close to the Alaska Airlines Center at UAA. Not even for morbid curiosity.
