My cousins used to live in North Dakota. Fairly cheap and folks were pretty friendly. Just very cold in winter.

Well, I'm an Illinoisan, my cousin worked for a radio station up in Minot. My cousin said the farmers always laughed at union members striking down here, right to work state you know. Its basically a rural farming state, not very exciting, but friendly and comfortable.
