I'm using it to show that Og will be here less frequently for the next FEW days.

After returning from a few days away researching my wife's ancestors, all the real life things that were apparently quiet have become urgent. Even one of the cats requires veterinary attention after yet another fight with the neighbourhood tom.

Both of us have things to sort out that will take time. Normality should return by early next week, I hope.

There is nothing wrong, just a series of minor imperatives that won't wait.

I will be making flying visits in between writing masses of emails.

Of course I will be back before the Nude Day contest. There is still nearly three weeks before the last submissions for the How-To contest and the Last Place (tm) contest has to be judged as well.

Who can follow Dampy, the honoured winner of Last Place for the Earth Day 2006? No one can take that distinction away from her. She can inscribe it on her resume (CV) and impress potential employers. You too could be winner of an AH Last Place Contest. All you need are the trolls to assist in beating your entry to death with multiple 1 votes.

Og (once 3rd and last in the 100 yards sprint - I started the Last Place tradition very young but then broke the tradition by coming first in Throwing the Hammer, Putting the Shot and the Discus - all on one Boy Scouts sports day. The point for coming 3rd was enough to make my troop win the team trophy. Without it we would have been equal 1st)

Married daughter (number two) has announced that Og will become a grandfather about Christmas. The big announcement was tonight but Og and wife had guessed that the 'surprise' was coming - morning sickness is difficult to hide...

Both statements require changes to the family arrangements, including a house sale, which is why I have been busy in real life and will be busier still for the next few weeks, but not too busy to run the Last Place (tm) Contest, nor to start the Nude Day Support thread when necessary.
