I've mentioned a possible story here a few times but don't think anyone has ever done anything with it. It is about an attractive goody two shoes wholesome apple pie young woman who gets abducted into a sex slave ring to be sold to the highest bidder (probably a foreign Middle East country). This ring abducts all different kinds of women (variety is the spice of life) but before being put on the auction block they are put through various sex "tests" to see what their potential is. They are also told ahead of time that the ones who do better on the tests will have a much better life than those who do not and there could even be a hint that not doing good on the tests could lead to a very bad outcome. So, as much as these "tests" could repulse them, they have to try as hard as they can to pass them so as to have the best life possible under the circumstances. These tests could include lesbianism and different forms of bdsm, etc.

The Middle East slave ring is one of my fantasies. The threat to the heroine or heroines of the story is a good "stick" plot point. Maybe it could be combined with a "carrot" plot point as well. For example, she could be told that she is now the property of her new owner and she can never be with her family again. However if she behaves well as a sex slave, she can earn rewards which the owner will anonymously bestow on her family back in the West.

Maybe the 40 something mother is taken into slavery while on a business trip or holiday and she was helping put her son or daughter through college or university. The owner could bestow a generous scholarship for the offspring if the mother pleases him.

Or a 20 something lawyer supporting her disabled husband and elderly parents is taken and the owner makes sures they are all financially cared for if the lawyer performs sexually.

Granted these arent the usual harsh non consent stories but there's nothing to say that a more shall we say romantic plot point cant make for a good read.

I think nonconsensual/reluctance stories tend to better if they aren't plot driven. As long as you have a clever spark to initiate the story I feel the stress should be on the relationship between the protagonists, not the story, which are often barely credible anyway (i.e., you need a weak and a strong character for the story to work) but if you can develop that further, good on you.

And it's extremely hard to avoid falling into cliches with reluctance/nonconsent.

Sorry that's a bit vague, I'm not really thinking atm.

I find stories where wife/mother betrays her husband/kids interesting, but the situation needs to be more subtle than just 'screw you' betrayal. Imagine a situation where wife/mom has sold her family into slavery, or something like that, for reasons that she considers compelling, but at the same time she does love them and feels really guilty about what she's doing...but she also enjoys it, she's torn between her delight at what she's doing and her guilt.
