"This batch of Bourbon was aged in a wooden barrels for fifteen years, bottled by hand at 57.15% alc/vol (114.3 proof)"

WOW!!!

I thought Maker's Mark was good (and it is) - but this stuff is off the scale. Of course, its about 3 times the cost of Maker's Mark as well...

"genuine BOURBON whiskey - Handmade in the hills of Kentucky"

Never had it.

I've left my scotch alone for the night.

I am having Sky Vodka & soda.

Clean & crisp.

Total slack city on its way... however I'm taking it slow right now because I could still be summoned back to work.

I've never had it before either. It was a gift from a co-worker today.

Stop that with some summoning of your own.

Sure... good idea...

Here goes...

I summon all the Lit Babes to my hotel room...

*waiting... waiting...*

Hey - BRB - there's a knock on my hotel room door - sounds like a crowd out there...

I like Stoli's - ice cold.

They had quite a collection of Vodka at this place - many brands I haven't seen before. Many flavored vodka's as well - including one in a black bottle called "Dirty Olive Vodka" (olive flavored).

Nice.

I'll I get is a hard time & endless teasing.

I can give you a very hard time if you want. But the teasing will eventually end, I promise.

Never heard of it. But then again, who ever heard of Maker's Mark outside of Nelson County 20 years ago? Do they say where it's made in Kentucky, Dill?

I figured this thread would bring you out of hiding, Kotori... *grin*

Distilled in Kentucky, bottled by Noahs Mill Distilling Company
Bardstown, Nelson Co, Kentucky

"Noah's Mill is a Bourbon of extraordinary character and smoothness not found among younger whiskies. It's superior taste and flavor characteristics are made possible only from using the very finest quality ingredients at the outset along wiht the long years and patience necessary for nature to mellow everything to perfection. We bottle this Bourbon at a strength that best compliments it's age, and we're sure you'll enjoy it like no other Bourbon."

Its incredible. I'm in love.

This store also had the largest collection of single malts I've ever seen. Some bottles costing well over $1,000...

Also Nelson County? Interesting. That's the heart of bourbon country (not to mention descendents of French Catholics escaping the Revolution--hence the sir name of our eponymous king, Louis XV), about thirty miles south of Loo-a-vul. It's probably a boutique label established by one of the majors, like Brown-Forman.

Could be... its very good. I'm not about to make it a regular purchase at this price though.

On my second glass - waiting for a co-worker to call. Looking for something on TV worth watching... you?

OMG, I'm literally drooling. :D How much did it cost?

I've been eyeing a bottle of bourbon in the grocery store. I think I'll buy it next week. (when hubby's gone)

Nothing, I repeat, nothing will ever top Stoli's.

That's only because anything else gives you a headache. If I was the same way, I would be saying that too.

I'm almost embarrassed to say... $80 (and they have the best prices in the city).

Wow. That's about six times what I pay for my Mark. But I'd do it as a one time thing.
