No threads about the Israeli airstrike on Syria yet?

I'd have to listen to Old Faithful, George Galloway, to get what his take on it is, but, on the surface of things, it is difficult to criticise Israel for doing this right now because it certainly appears clearly something which can be justified in terms of keeping the capacity to do violence by Hezbola down. It certainly appears like a self-defensive thing to have done. And by the same token it is not exceptional that Hezbola might have tried to take advantage of the opportunistic situation in Syria. Things are not 'on the road to peace' clearly, between Hezbola and Israel, but it is difficult to argue that Israel went over the top this time.

Apparently, people DON'T just always criticise Israel for anything and everything they do...

And this is one example of that.

But I will certainly be criticising them if and when they do something silly.

How does Hezbollah's ability to defend themselves against Israeli air strikes equate to their "ability to do violence"?

air strike

wellll who really cares those people in the mid east have been fighting for thousands of yrs and will continue to do so because of the religion and culture. it's almost a way of life for the rebels and governments. come back in a 1000 yrs and we'll still be talking about the mideast unless they blow themselves up.

It's a good thing they don't have anything the rest of the world needs.
