Some of them are, some aren't. You learn a experience, and spammers tend to not do well with banter.

I'd venture a guess that the ads from the guys aren't spam.

That covers about 95% of them.

The "Hi I'm 19f and I'm all wet" kinds seem sort of suspect. Odds are they exist I guess.

Profiles are a good thing to check out. Lots of dodgy profiles have pictures that are shamelessly pinched from porn sites. Genuine people will fill out their profiles properly and sincerely.

Look at the post count, post history and what's been said in those posts.

Also, spammers will sometimes have more than one profile and it gets easy to spot them a mile away - the specific use of emoticons and the general 'feel' of the language used in their posts.

Also look a their signature, if there is any hint of a link to a dating site or similar, avoid like a dose of the Clap.

And look out for the douchebag wankers on here posing as women when they are actually men trying to get a cheap thrill, more than a few of those on here I can assure you
