no parking means NO PARKING

When I was in grade school, I saw a picture similar to this in a Weekly Reader it always comes out in the paper around April 1st. Last I knew, a fire department would roll the hose under the car, rather than waste the time to thread the hose thru the window, (and to break the window first) nope... it's just not done. When I was in Fire school, (while in the service this subject came up, and it's much cheaper to repaint a car (throw the hose over the car) than it is to replace the rear windows.

Hoax.

Good for them !!!! I have been part of Fire Departments that have done this.......And you don't get your car back till the fire is out.........

well, thats what you get for parking in a fire zone......i think they should of threaded the hose thru all the windows, front, back, sides...

Pepin it is done and probably always will be too.. I know a few Firemen that have done that, and Guess what??? Insurance will not pay for it and the owner can not sue the city or the Fire Dept. for it either. it does happen and has happend, and will happen again.. that is a price that that person pays for parking in a nonparking place that is reserved for emergencies.. and the Insurance will not pay for their ignorance of parking in a non parking zone, ESP when the Firemen have the athority to do this since it is an emergency and they need to do their job and they don't have time to wait for that person to move their car so they can do their job... I think it teaches some one a lesson, DON'T PARK IN A NO PARKING ZONE... cause this does happen and BTW if this does happen to you.. you are not allowed to touch your car cause it has become the proporty of the City untill they remove the hose from the car..

P.S. You will most likly be fined and still have to pay for the broken windows and maybe even charged a maintanece fee or pay to replace the fire hose if it gets a hole in from the glass from the car.. :)
