It just goes to show. On the General BB I requested help in deciding what my character in my latest story, "The Best Revenge", would drink. Decided on Glen Fidich. Just received a really nice, genuine email commenting on all my stories. The reader said they liked all my stories but found it hard to keep reading my new one because the character didn't drink Jack Daniels. LOL.

I received an email a while back about "Heatwave and Cola". Person said they liked it but almost didn't read it because they hate Cola. I think I'm going to avoid specifics in future - LOL.

Verrry Inter esting

That is an interesting point Crazy. I think it gives even more credence to the issue of stories written in the second person are not as interesting to many readers. The correlation being that the reader just does not relate to the story/brand name.

I would be interested to read what some of the people here might think is the psychology behind this; i.e., why is it necessary to relate to the story to find it interesting.
