No Flynn....we welcome.all religions in the USA

There will always be a segment of the whackadoodle right yammering for a theocracy to replace American democracy.

That won't ever happen, but it helps fuel their "perpetual victimhood" beliefs.

The founders of our nation were nearly all Infidels, and that of the presidents who had thus far been elected [George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, and Andrew Jackson] not a one had professed a belief in Christianity.[8]

Infidels?

The first three Presidents were Deists. Like me

I've heard Deism defined is, "Dey is a God, but He don't do nuttin'."

I would prefer that the US officially disavow religion and remove all religious references from mottos, pledges, current, etc. I have no idea why Congress and the military have officially recognized Chaplins for one thing.

I worked for the US Courts for a while and one new Judge had a religious ceremony during her swearing in, inside a US Courtroom.

No different than the left complaining about how evil capitalism is and pushing for socialism.

The man shouldn't have had a place in government

There can be a difference in believing in God and being a Christian. Washington referred to "Providence" in many of his writings and speeches. In a 400 plus word Thanksgiving Proclamation, he said the following:

His 456-word Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789 starts as follows:

"Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us...."

It goes on from there in similar fashion. He was raised in an Anglican Church worshipping family. I do agree he was a deist. That does not mean he wasn't a religious man.

He also wrote a famous letter to the Jews of Newport, RI:

The Citizens of the United States of America have a right to applaud themselves for having given to mankind examples of an enlarged and liberal policy: a policy worthy of imitation. All possess alike liberty of conscience and immunities of citizenship. It is now no more that toleration is spoken of, as if it was by the indulgence of one class of people, that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights. For happily the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens, in giving it on all occasions their effectual support.

It would be inconsistent with the frankness of my character not to avow that I am pleased with your favorable opinion of my Administration, and fervent wishes for my felicity. May the Children of the Stock of Abraham, who dwell in this land, continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other Inhabitants; while every one shall sit in safety under his own vine and figtree, and there shall be none to make him afraid. May the father of all mercies scatter light and not darkness in our paths, and make us all in our several vocations useful here, and in his own due time and way everlastingly happy.

Yeah well the Ten Commandments are engraved in the wall opposite the Justices of the SCOTUS. Take a close look at the Apotheosis of Washington
painted in the dome of the US Capitol building and continue wetting your pants.:D;)

You're not making an argument, you're just adding more instances of the problem.

So is Muhammad.

The Left doesn't welcome any religion unless they think it offends the right.

They feel absolutely superior to those mouth-breathing superstitions morons
who believe is invisible creator(s) in the clouds that can neither be seen or touched,
so quit lying and jerking us off, y'all have been way too consistent of this issue for years now.

Good morning, Chief!
Is your faith in Skyfather strong or did you get the jab?

Yet another unfounded hit piece from the Business Insider.

Anyone been following their baseless attempt to shred Dave Portnoy?
