No constants, no reality, no facts, no truth - only questions. Alpha is changing.

The only fact(s) in life?

Death? Well yeah.

Taxes?

Not really. There's plenty of people out there not paying taxes.

How about Physics though?

Recentley, "the big boys," down in Sydney's University of New South Wales, using the 33ft diameter, Keck-1, reflector telescope in Hawaii have been dialing in data that will eventually prove that the, "fine structure constant," - (a pure number of no dimensions) - "Alpha," a fundamental measure of the quantum nature of reality on the atomic scale the number that reflects how tightly atomic particals stick together the "strength" of electromagnetic interaction, the "charge" - has, over billions of years - CHANGED!!!!!

This little tidbit (uber bombshell) - is scaring the shit out of all scientists.

Why?!!!!!!

It will mean that ,"nothing is rock solid fact" - and - "everything is a perception, created by our own limited knowledge."

It will surely mean the downfall of "String Theories."

Some of what it may mean - is so scary - that they are not letting the public know - until all is thuroughly proved out. Which could take years.

Anyway........

We don't know kaka. As I always say - now it looks like they will actually prove it.

If you might wish to check this out further - run searches on.....

So? No comments huh? Over yer alls' heads????

The "smart guys" are about to dial in proof that even the most rock solid of all "factual reality" - is in fact - NOT - so rock solid.

That "it" changes......

And if "it" changes (something that, that - true) then "everything must then concern the possibility of change."

That what is thought of "as truth" - might not actually be true.

And that "everything" must now be re-thought - with this, the "possibility of changing constants" in mind.

It questions everything we know - or as I would say - everything "we think" we know.

It means that we really don't know a thing - and that we only pretend to know. Because we have the need to think we know. Because our egos are so large and fragile - we need to have a few constants - crutches.

But now our crutches appear to be crumbling under scientific scrutiny.

Just like I always sensed they would.

What will we do? What will we do?

My guess is get naked and have wild sex.

That's what we Litans always do.

Me? Hey, I don't even know you. You cannot mean Sparky so you must have meant me.
Getting naked and having wild sex isn't living?
Damn.

Damn.

I was actually referring to Kronkite and his tedious, self-important, second-hand "What Is Life All About?" knee-jerk pseudo-scientific question and answer codswallop.

The one constant in life is change - an old cliche I know, but true and relevant nonetheless.

It will mean that ,"nothing is rock solid fact" - and - "everything is a perception, created by our own limited knowledge."

I disagree - even without understanding totally the underlying ramifications, I still see no evidence presented to support that assertion.

We don't know kaka.

Now that I can agree with.
