Correctives to racism are not racist,
and a color-blind approach wouldn't work.
I should have thought that point settled decades ago. Why does it keep popping up here?

I think you all know why a color-blind approach would not correct the social outcomes of long-term racism.

Why not? The Japanese were treated horribly when they came here, discriminated against and tossed into camps in the 1940s...today they are succeeding far beyond the white population, all without AA.
A lot of Koreans came here in the 50's, back when there were actual white privileges.
We're one of the highest earning ethnic groups in the country and some years THE highest.

I feel like I know what his childhood was like.

I have BoBo on ignore, but I'd be willing to bet that post quoted mine and responded "What oppression?"

Ah yes....nothing like a thread containing the words "affirmative action" in the title to get the Usual Suspects hyperventilating.

That graphic looks like your asshole during a session with George Floyd.

First you have to prove that "long term racism" actually exist, other than in your mind.
