Nipple Peirceing

I'm seeing on here that most say to get them pierced at 14g, I'd like to get mine done at 12g. Why won't some piercers do this? Is is not true that a 12g is more safe than a 14g?

i'm going to give you the exact same sarcastic answer i give to the 15 year olds who come into the studio and question everything, thinking they know better coz their 'friends did it'....

"if it was a good thing to pierce you that way, then that is what i would do - after all, i only do this shit every day, right? i mean, your friends MUST know more than me! my apprenticeship obviously had some unbelievable glaring errors, and i think i might have to go back and find every one of the 20-odd-thousand people i have pierced and apologise for being so incompetent!!!"

seriously though, we pierce with 14g because that is the size that we have found gives the very best result.
if you want 12 g, then you can change out after your piercing has healed.

not only that, but it is the most popular g to be pierced at so that is how most of the "good" jewlery will come... I was done with 16g because i didn't want anything thicker because I have a dainty body and thought it would look funny, I knew the risks of my body regecting it and all that, I have a friend who has been piercing for 12 years and I thought about/researched for about 2yrs ... I now wish I just went along with the 14g bc its a pain in the ass to go into the store and walk out with something I like.
