Nina's Nook

That's funny you should mention that cuz I've been reading Omegaverse too, and speedverse, same universe and rules

Basically omegaverse is like any other shifter dynamic but the characters don't actually shift forms but still have all the qualities of their animal

this one did have the shifters shifting... it was like furries and tenticle porn had a very liquidy fuckpuddle with extra mean girl drama and feelings.

Suzanne wright, her Phoenix pack and Mercury Pack series are absolutely phenomenal, i reread them at least every year,

Lora Leigh's breeds series is.....interesting. amusing smut lol

Lauren Dohner's. new Species series is also very well written

Chloe Neil Chicagoland Vampires series also great, very much story driven with romance blooming later in the series but very gloss over and not so x rated lol

Cherise Sinclairs The Wild Hunt series also very well written with just the right balance of story and oh fuck me sideways 🤣

"Oh, fuck me sideways" is going to the top of the list in the research department. -nods-

A storm blows through, the denizens from the lands below leak from the shadows and the light to reluctantly but scrupulously put to rights the ways and wonder that is Her home.

Apearing in mid air, she drops into her pillow pit with a squeal of delight.
It is time to snuggle in and let ideas fly.

"I need to scratch the wordy itch but must flesh out ideas that are more than just claws, teeth, sweat, and sin."

I'm glad I can broaden your horizons lol
LOL. Thank you.

I probably listen to books as much as you do. Maybe more. I have a list of books I listen to while sleeping. Old friends. Reruns.

I CANNOT listen to a new book at bedtime. I will not sleep. Ive screwed myself out of many good or bad Zzzzs because I thought 'one more chapter'.

This is a snippet of thought that I know will fit into a story someday. That story is not in this thread. I do not have a story to go with it.

The birds quieted for several minutes. It was enough to gently reach in and knock on the door of her dreams. She didn't feel alarmed, only noting that the forest noted a ripple. A very bold chickadee called from the bushes a few feet from her muzzle. She knew this because she opened her white-blue eyes and winced at the sunlight that assaulted her vision. In that moment, that snapshot was the chickadee. Only a mouthful of feathers and toothpick-type bones. More fun to watch than eat. Hopping about in the bush with tiny blue-black berries. Little white dots on the leaves and the bird. At least three more chickadees near.

Fascinating that she saw all those details. She didn't see that well as her former self. This self saw much. Saw it fast. Processed fast. Fight. Food. Fuck.

She snorted. None of those things were with her in the patch of sunlight she found last week. The forest always changed where the good nap spots were. Years of hiking taught her that, not having a furry ass. The sun and the Earth always kept things moving. Similar but never same.

Stretching, she didn't watch her matt black nails dig into the dirt. Her eyes were scrunched shut as she exillerated in the pull of all her muscles, from toe tips to tail tip, her black as hell coat shivered over the body shes only had for two months; two moons. She yawned, her huge jaws showing off all of her teeth. She had a lot of them now. Ten is a lot when were talking about teeth. Wolves have ten more teeth than humans.

She shook, the heat from the sun and the delight at waking as a wolf again making her heart sing. She loved her form; it's fucking huge. Her other form is not huge. It's petite, cute, tiny, but no less fierce. No less ferocious... Just now, she doesn't have to 'say' it twice.

Hungry. She loped through the trees heading for the tree line, the edge of trees and grasslands. Where the deer felt safe.
Crossing the mile-long driveway, she inhaled deeply, excitement rising. Time to hunt...

Something, some smell snatched her nose like the smallest, painless fishhook. New smell. Not this pack car. Not from here. Not from near. Thousands of smell clues tickled her brain. She followed. Sniffing, wary, watching. Tense. Too many new smells; too many from not today, like food, blood, skunk. Some have some time like laundry soap, leather cleaner, car exhaust, oil leak, and leather. Mink oil, gun cleaner... no oil... called frog something. Not fired recently. Cologne and leather and male sweat. Not a here male, different, new. Big? How does big smell? She paused, community house through the trees, thinking. New to this sense of smell, she knew the thing she was smelling was big, but she had no idea how she knew that. It was not a human thought. One of those things that her new brain pieced together.

Sniffing sniffing sniffing, she circled the new car in the lot. Paws up on the door and stuck her nose along the cracks—male, food, excitement, agitation, hormones, car things, and plastic.

Following nose inside, shuffling around the foyer, mixed human form smells, happy aggression? Greetings? New male smell with house leader smells. Follow. Hear house leader in library, smell paper. Smell leader. Smell new male on leaders hand. Hear leader. Ignore. Follow smell.

Leader's lounge door is closed, but the smell of male, mink oil, and metal are facinating, new. Sniff door crack. Grumble, nudge door, sniff. Door opens. She follows her nose. Leader speaking behind her.

Sniffing, nose stuck. Good smells. Follows nose, boots move. Sniffs boots. Follows, sniffs up up up. Good smell. Healthy smell. Strong smell. Hormones and male and wolf smell. Stuff's nose in denim. Hard. Hears squak. Is swatted. Steps in and follows the smell with all teeth. The smell does not hit. The male does not hit. Male. Smell. Teeth. Inhale... deep, deep, deep.

Her pale eyes look up the length of the male. The big male. Very big male in human form. His male parts twitch in her mouth. She huffs. Happy sound. Eyes meet male's eyes. Brown bear eyes. Nose says wolf. Not afraid. Good smell. Not fear freeze. Not for her. not for him.

His lips twitch, and he rumbles, "That's mine, princess. I'll share if you let go."

She let go and licked once, maybe appology maybe a compliment, before stepping back and sitting.

This is a snippet of thought that I know will fit into a story someday. That story is not in this thread. Do not continue it here.
