Night Shift With Needfull

I suppose there are happier things we're also connected on. I apologize if my dark mood might have be said in a way where only the bittersweet exisits. There's also sweetness too.

Don't apologize, this thread is for honesty in the night. Never fear to say exactly whats on your mind or in your heart here. Listening to Sarah Mclachlan-Answer

Hello Just a brief visit before I go to sleep. Thank you for the beautiful song. I had never heard it before. *hugs*

That too is a service we supply free and willingly Maggie. Sleep well and have sweet dreams, of better times and more comforting places.

I feel in the mood for some very sad music tonight. So lets listen to something that can bring tears to the eyes. Peter Gabriel- I Grieve

Pretty numb, I am. Not so much to say hidden pain, just ignored. Until I'm lucky enough to find something to make myself cry. A sad song like Sarah McLachlan / When She Loved Me did it a few years ago. Crying is a very painful thing. Literally. I know I get horrible headaches from it. Looks horrible too. It helps in a strange way though. I sometimes wonder if the pain somehow intertwins with the drops of liquid and expells it all together when you cry. A release I suppose.

Don't listen to sad songs all shift. Try to think of the chance of good for the future. There's no promise, but we've already known what's happened in the past. Might as well hope for a better tomorrow.

Sad songs help me deal with the pain in much the way you say tears help you. After a while I just find myself noticing the beauty of the music and the pain fades away leaving me feeling emptied out. I need that some nights.

I hear you on that one Needful. Music is always the great equalizer of feelings.

I hope things get better for you both.

Always around if you need an ear.

I appreciate it bro. But over the years I've found that when I try to confide in one person, they get overloaded. So I post in the open like this, sharing my innermost thoughts and feelings with everyone. It diseminates the negative energy. Or...maybe I'm just a stubborn, stoic bastard who has to make things hard on myself and everyone around me. Who knows...

To each his own Needful. No one formula works for everyone. Different backgrounds breed different needs. Since I was a child, I had no one to turn to so I turned to music. It is the one pervasive thread though my entire life. That works for me, but not necessarily for anyone else. I wish you luck in your journey and finding of happiness.
Often around, so I am here. Hell, I can always suggest some music. :)

*nods* True, there is no one way. We all have to tread our own path and often adjust our course in the journey. Musical suggestions welcome indeed!

Right now listening to Rod Stewart- Broken Arrow

Always enjoy his older stuff. I tend to old rhythm and blues stuff anyway.
SRV always works well for mellowing out as does Tull.

Nice I like classic Motown and Blues stuff. BB King and Muddy Waters. But lets hear from somebody we haven't heard from yet. Who out there has been too chicken to post before now? Lets hear from you

Thought of the evening. Maybe some of us put too much emotional importance onto things that in the context are not as deep. I mean have you ever cared more about someone than they did for you?

I do that way too often. It's come back to bite me in the ass a few times.

Yes, to answer your question...

Needful you still around? I can't sleep and ran into your thread:kiss:

Would love to talk. And I was doing the same thing the other night...listening to it rain. Can be relaxing or....hmm can't find the right word...

Evocative...rain evokes our emotions...a soft sweet melancholy often overtakes us when we listen to the rain.
