"First of all, he lives because he inserted an enormously magical ruby into the hole", said Takatha. "Now, I do suggest we move", he said, heading off towards a cave.
Damas followed the vampire at a distance, he still did not trust him but he wanted this curse lifted from him. As soon as he entered the cave he saw a portal door standing against the far wall and looked at Takatha who had his eyes closed and was chanting. Suddenly the portal door flashed with a brilliant light, causing Damas to turn his head. When he looked at the door he saw that there was now a black swirling portal in it. Damas walked to the portal and touched it, not knowing what to expect. Something then grabbed his arm and before he had a chance to shout out he disappeared through the portal.
Takatha hurled himself through the portal, muttering,"Idiot werewolves, touch everything". He pooped up next to a large, two headed beast trying to eat Damas. "Down, terra, down", he scolded the beast. "Get on a bench", said Takatha, pointing to the benches.
Damas looked at Takatha, "You did not tell me that that would happen. You knew that I would be sucked in, didn't you, I don't know whether to trust you or kill you but seeming that you are offering to take this curse off of me then I will help you."
He then looked at the two headed beast and growled then walked away from it and watched Takatha.
"I did not want you touch the damn portal! Why are werewolves either so stupid or so curious? Both are bad characteristics!" he shouted, flinging his hands up into the air. "We're going to be leaving soon", he said, turning to the werewolf.
"Where are we anyway. I don't seem to recognize this place but it has the smell of evil and death about it." Damas sniffed the air and almost gagged as the fetid smell almost gagged him. He looked around and all that he could see was a black landscape and fog, other than that there was nothing.
"Of course", said a beautiful female voice. A female vampire stepped out of the shadows. "You must be Damas? Takatha has told me much about you", she said. She was very beautiful. She had long black hair and black eyes. her large breasts bounced in her tunic as she strode towards Takatha. "Hello Zyn", said Takatha, placing his arms around her and giving her a pssionate kiss.
Damas looked at the female vampire with trepidation, he did not trust vampires and now there were two of them. His luck wasn't getting any better!
"Ummm...Zyn is it, where exactly are we and where are we going?"
Zyn didn't answer him, she just looked up at Takatha and said, "He is a werewolf, through and through."
Damas growled at that remark, he didn't like to be insulted.
"Zyn, please answer the werewolf", said Takatha. "We are in a secret cave not far off from where Ganth lives. We are heading to Ganth's castle", she answered.
Damas looked out of the cave but still saw nothing, all he could see was fog and more fog. He didn't know where he was, where they were going or how they were going to get there so he thought that it was best that he followed the two vampires and hope that they weren't leading him into a trap.
"Come", Zyn said and lead them to a great cliff. "We must kill Bastak, Lord of Ganth's armies first", she said, showing them his encampment. It was bustling with activity. Earth Giants patrolled. The great Zarnad, mansize, carnivorous lizards were at the heart of it. Their banner flew over the central tent, symbolizing that Bastack was a Zarnad.
Damas looked around and sniffed the air, he didn't like this. Nobody had said anything about what he was now getting himself into but it was his own fault and he thought that he should follow the vampires, no matter where it led him.
Damas looked back at Takatha and bared his fangs, growling, "I will take the lead vampire but you had better provide back up or I will hunt you down and kill you, curse or no curse."
With that he ran off into the bushes, sniffing the air as he went. When he was sure that the area was clear he hurried into the camp.
Damas looked around and walked stealthily into the main area of the camp but stopped when he heard voices. Although he didn't know what they were saying he could tell that they were celebrating, he didn't know what and he didn't have the time to find out. He was about to walk out of the shadows when a sentry appeared, seemingly out of nowhere and stopped right in front of him, looking this way and that as if knowing that something or someone that shouldn't be in the camp was.
"Violaters" whispered Takatha sharply. Both he and Zyn began changing. They dropped to the size of a wolf and to four paws. Four jaws replaced their vampiric ones. Tentacles grew out of their backs as razor sharp teeth filled their mouths. Finally, the instincts and senses kicked in. Takatha immediately felt every life force for 20 miles and wanted their brains. He took control then, his mind replacing the primal instincts. "TO DAMAS", he hissed. They bounded away and saw a gaurd standing in front of the werewolf. Takatha quickly opened his jaws as a long tongue rolled out. They moved close to the gaurd. He did not react, thinking they were from his army. Suddenly, Takatha's tongue ripped into his heart, tearing through bone, flesh, and muscle, and devoured it. "DAMAS, IT IS US", growled Takatha. "CHANGE INTO THE GAURD's UNIFORM", he continued, turning about and sitting there as if he belonged.
Damas looked at the new form that Takatha had taken and then at the sentry before he took off its clothes and put them on. Once he had put them on he began to look around to see if anyone had seen them. Once he was sure that nobody had he turned to Takatha and said, "Now where, or do I already know."
As soon as he felt the tentacles around him Damas wanted to get away from them. Before he knew what was happening then three of them were heading from Bastack's tent and then in no time they were right outside of it.
They entered Bastack's tent and asked him if he could tell the gaurds to leave. Bastack complied quickly. He stood 12 ft tall, his head almost smashing the ceiling. "What isss itss?" he asked, looking at Damas. A prisinor kneeled, bloodied and beaten at the end of the tent. In his hand, Bastak carried an enormous long sword.
Damas looked up at Bastack and thought, I can not kill him. He knelt before Bastack and said, "Lord, my name is Damak and I am a scout, I have come to tell you of enemy movement."
Bastack looked down at the werewolf and said, "Go on, I wannt too hear thisss."
Damas then told him the first thing that came to his mind, something about an enemy group coming their way.
"YES LORD, IT IS VERY TRUE. WHEN WE HEARD HIS REPORT, WE THOUGHT HE SHOULD SPEAK WITH YOU IMMEDIATELY", growled Takatha. Little did any of them know, but there really was a fighting group approaching. A high quality group of Reavers, mercenaries who only worshipped the coin. Except for one. Theorin Kain. Once a knight, he betrayed his lord for a large amount of gold. From them on, he sold himslef to any bidder, as long as they bidded higher than the others. To him, death was more honorable than not completing a contract. He was also considered one of the best fighters in the land, able to pin a man's hide to the wall from 400 yards away.
Bastack looked at Damas and said, "Where iss thiss group wolf."
Damas stood and pointed in the direction of the dead forest about twenty leagues away.
"They approach from that direction lord. I did not see how many there were but I know that there are a few of them because I got a powerful scent from them."
Bastack moved forward and said, "You are going to take me to where they are asss I want to sssee them for mysself."
Damas bowed down, a smile coming to his face as he did.
Takatha also smiled to himself. The great lord Bastack was going to die! They walked outside, now releasing Damas. Damas took them to a small grove of trees, where they pointed at a narrow trail. "THERE, LORD", pointed Takatha, his tentacle pointing at the floor. Seconds later, a figure stepped into their view. Takatha almost choked as he saw the figure wave and 40 more leaped next to him.
