Night of Shadows, Days of Light

"Not when they're biased," Malia countered to his own words. They could go like this all night. She didn't mind a good fight and damn if she wasn't itching for one now. An argument would appease her a little, but a full out brawl and one to the death. Yeah, now that's what she was talking about. Malia watched him shake his head at her and she wondered if she was giving that smile that made the other weres think she was a bit insane.

Malia watched him get up. Damn! If he could mist out this would have been much easier. "Okay, I'll be back. I'll figure out a way to sneak you out." Malia left the house and locked up much as she had done before. She mentally counted the heads of the pups around and was relieved no one was missing. She walked into the main house and propped herself on the counter. She wouldn't have to wait long. She didn't. Jayne came walking nonchalantly down the stairs, but she was sure he knew as soon as she entered the home. He would have recognized her smell from anywhere.

"Malia." Jayne didn't ask it he stated her name and though he did it had a thousand questions.

Malia ignored the ones he always wanted to ask and opted for the one that they both could handle right now. "I'm going out. Alone."

Jayne knew what that meant. "Dammit. You can't do it alone. Vampires are really strong. It'll take about 2 or 3 of use minimum to do any damage. If you're going I'll set up a team to go with you."

"I'm tired of people telling me I'm not strong enough," Malia mumbled.

"What?"

"Nothing. I don't need a team, Jayne. Never had one before."

"I forbid you to go without a team." Jayne looked smug as he used his Alpha status to put her ass in place. He didin't do it often and the times he did he always feared if Malia would go ape shit and try to kick his ass and gain the Alpha title.

Malia blew out a breath of pent up frustration. "I'm going out with a friend," she said through clench teeth.

"What friend," Jayne demanded.

Malia still didn't know the man's name. "A guy friend. Fuck Jayne. I'm going out and wanted you to know so you don't get all stupid on me." Malia pushed herself from the counter and glared. She knew it sounded like she was going on a date and she did that on purpose. Jayne said she couldn't go without a team. Well if she went with ol' vampy that was a team of two and technically she wasn't breaking her Alpha's command.

"Fine whatever, Malia," Jayne said sounding hurt.

Malia just sighed. She wasn't going to put up his with his depressed shit. She walked out and snagged some were's shirt off a hanging line. Malia came back into her home and threw the shirt at vamp dude. "Put that on. You'll smell like a were incase anyone follows us. Well that is until they get real close and personal then they'll realize you smell like dead people. When you talk try not to flash those pointy teeth and be cool. We're going to walk out."

Malia sighed and walked over to Vamp dude and began rubbing against him. He needed more of a were scent and she hated it, but she was going to give him a bit of hers. When she stepped back she sniffed him and nodded. He would pass for a were as long as no one took a deep long breath of him or tried to sort through the scents.

"Oh and what the fuck is your name?"

Vladimir Kozlo

He felt her rub against him and first eyed her, then he realized what was going on, scent. He grunted, pulled off his shirt and slipped into the other one she had given him, it was a close fit and he shook his head.

"Is this fashion these days or did you just grab the smallest one you could find?"

He slipped on his trench coat to cover his weapons, then cocked his head at her,

"I can not give you my name, names carry power. If you really need one I'll answer to Drake Zlovak."

He turned from her, ignoring any stares, threats or even questions, he had to lean on the bed. He was healing faster than her blood could nourish him, he lowered his head, fighting the beast as it snarled and demanded blood. He calmed it with a promise of blood, when he opened his eyes the ice blue was more pronounce, close to glowing, then it settled down to its normal hue.

"If you intend me to walk out of here we shall have to move right now."

Malia didn't care it looked like he was wearing a smedium. The shirt showed his muscles and rippled when he moved. Malia had to swallow the sudden spike of lust that coursed through her body. Damn, he looked good, and smelled like were; like home. Malia shook her head. She did that. She made him smell like were; home. What the fuck?! Though she had to admit she had a thing for a lean man that had muscles that you weren't even aware of until too late. Okay, Malia hun. As soon as we're done with vamp and vamp jr. we are getting you some ass. Hello, you're looking at the vamp like you want to fuck his bones! Stop it!

Malia cleared her throat and watched Drake some weird sounding last name that she wasn't going to remember or ever pronounce stand up. Something was off and as she cocked her head to the side she understood. He needed that blood and now. Malia nodded and turned to her door. She opened it and there stood Jayne. Drake was right behind her and Jayne took a good whiff.

"He smells likes you. Already fucked him huh? I can't even smell his own scent. Just you." Jayne wanted to say more, but he turned, shook his head, and walked away.

Malia knew she should go after him, but Drake was near bloodlust, is that what the vamps call it, and she had to get him out of here or Gods help him if he attacked her pack. Malia sighed and walked at a quicker pace into town. The pack would just see it as her trying to get as far from Jayne as possible as she's done before, but this time with a new were boy toy.

"Where's this blood bank and do I need to be there while you do whatever. I want to check something out while you .. eat."

Vladimir Kozlo

He walked with her as fast as he could manage, he did not care what her leader, mate, or whatever he was thought. Right now he needed blood, loads of it, he heard her question him and he looked around,

"The bank is three blocks from here, if you want my help you can find me there, it should not take long. I will be in a shadow, but with this...scent on me I'm sure you can find me.."

He placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her,

"I hope that this something you want to do is not try to find the fledgeling on your own. They are dumb, but not total morons."

He realized that he had touched her and lowered his hand back to his side,

"I owe you my undead life, let me help you find him, it is the least I can do."

Malia took in the information. The bloodbank wasn't far and she wondered why she never saw it before. Or maybe she did and just hadn't realized what it was. She felt his cold hands on her body and she shuddered as her body temperature lowered somewhat. She turned and he removed his hand and gave her a warning. She started to growl low in her throat, but he was doing that oathy thing again. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. You already promised to help. So go eat and I'll find you later."

Malia took off at a jog. She went to an old bookstore. The owner was rumored to be a witch, but she hadn't noticed anything odd about the man. "Hello Malia," came the voice from the back. Malia smiled.

"Hello Gavin." The man was old about 75, but quick as a tack.

"What can I do for you, Malia."

"I need accurate, not rumors, information on vampires."

Gavin looked at her for a long moment. "I think I might have what you are looking for." He went into the back and after 10 minutes and Malia starting to wonder if he had died, he emerged with a small book. It was small enough to fit snugly into her back pocket. She took the book and read the cover Vampyres. Flipping through the book she saw interesting things, but she was running late.

"Thank you Gavin. How much do I owe you?"

"For you Malia. It's free. Just come visit again and have tea. We'll call it even."

Malia smiled. Gavin must be lonely, but truth be told in some ways so was she. Even with a huge pack. She nodded, thanked him again, and went back towards the blood bank.

Vladimir Kozlo

He moved as fast as he could to the blood bank, luckily the clerk on duty knew him and when he placed down the money he nodded after he counted it. He knew better than to ask why Vladimir would want six pints of blood, he brought it and Vladimir thanked him, moving out of the door he slipped into one of the darkest shadows he could see and using a nail he slipped open one bag and started to drink. It went down like a fine wine, feeding him and calming the beast, he could swear that he could feel his body starting to burn up the nutrients in the plasma to heal him.

On his third pint he started to slow down, gulping it down made him sound like a new-born child, it would attract attention and in his current state it was the last thing he needed. He started to think about the were, Malia he think she was called. She was different, sure she sounded like most of the other weres, but something about her was different. He leaned against the wall as he slowly drank down the fourth pint, he needed rest to heal properly, but from the were's reactions and her stubbornness she wanted to hunt the fledgeling tonight. He sighed and finished his blood, licking his lips clean and tossing the empty bags into the nearest garbage disposal. That was much better, the beast was wallowing in blood, calm and relaxed now and his mind was basically his own again.

He sensed her as she moved out of a building...how strange that his senses could not penetrate the building. He listened and smelled her as she came closer, he stayed in the shadows, his powers would not be ready yet, but he knew that his aura would make him close to invisible for the human eye, not that the were was anything close to human.

Malia was almost upon Drake before she realized he was there. It was the scent that alerted her first and then she turned and finally caught sight of him. She blinked. She could have sworn she had just been looking here when he came out of nowhere. She was wondering if she would have seen him or walked past him if he hadn't been standing up wind. Was it some sort of trick? Did that mean he was all better? All questions that she would have liked to ask, but wouldn't. Not because she was tactful, but because they were secondary to what she wanted to do.

"Okay. Better? Good." She didn't give him a chance to answer. He had more than enough time to feed. "So open your sensory whatever and find me the fuck that dared to hunt too close to my home." Malia waited and fingered her back pocket. She wanted to read her book.

"You can sense him right? We don't need to do this another night if I can kill him tonight. Or is it sometimes you can sometimes you can't. Because if I could sense my pack and knew some pup was going off the deep end I would have stopped him before he did something stupid." Malia glanced at Drake wondering if he understood what she was really saying.

Vladimir Koslo

So he had caught her a bit unaware, good.

"I am not really all better, but this will do for now."

He sniffed in disdain, but said nothing, just flicked his coat as he slowly stalked off into the night, letting her follow him as he followed the trial of the young one.

"Death warrant..."

He said this loud enough for her to hear, but the rest he mumbled in Russian, if she did know Russian she would not make out enough to understand what he said. He stopped outside a ramshackle building, holding a hand in-front of Malia,

"He is in there, if you need to change do it now, you will not have the time once he gets wind of you."

Malia wanted to ask what he meant by 'not all better,' didn't he get enough blood. She didn't have a chance to ask before he was stalking down the street. And Malia meant stalking. It was obvious he was up to something and she hung back a bit just watching and trying to look as inauspicious as she could.

She cocked an eyebrow hearing him mumble to himself. She strained to hear the rest and realized that it wasn't English. She should have picked up on other languages throughout the years, but really she stayed in the States and didn't bother with other countries. She wasn't good with change. She knew this country. She knew this language. She knew everything she needed to know and didn't want to change that.

They stopped in front of some building in the not so good part of town. Malia turned to Drake and shook her head. "Change? Really?" She laughed and slipped inside. It took seconds for her eyes to adjust to the dark. The building was huge, not like a warehouse that she would have thought. Malia waited for Drake to be just a bit more specific on where there little one was.

The attack came before Vladimir even had the chance to follow her inside, out of the shadows he came, he looked like a football jock, only difference was the gleaming teeth. He grabbed Malia and threw her into the wall, the thin wall took the impact very ungraciously and crumbled under the impact.

"Blood! Need more!"

The fledgeling stalked after Malia, his powerful frame taking her attack and still he managed to land solid blows that sent her reeling. Vladimir knew that he had warned her, that he should be enjoying seeing his own kind ripping a stupid, arrogant were a new one...but she had saved his life...he growled softly.

"You are responsible for her life because she saved yours Vlad."

He rushed into the building and came upon the two, the fledgeling had Malia pinned to the wall, his fangs bared, aiming to rip her jugular open. His pistols filled his hands and he opened fire, the impact of the rounds slamming the fledgeling away from Malia. But it was silver, not deadly to him. Vladimir slipped his pistols into their holsters and just had the time to look up when the fledgeling impacted with him. The fledgeling tore at him with nails and he fought back, but in his weakened state he was no match for the brutal force and ferocity. He grimly thought that he, a were hunter, would die, trying to save a were.

Malia hadn't expected the attack to happen so quickly. Usually she would have been quicker, faster, more agile, and in a fight it was rare she was taken by surprise. This was one of those rare times. Malia fought weres that were 3 - 5 times her size and weight. This fledgling was along those lines. Where as she just wanted to take him out the fledgling at a dire thirst that was fueling him which made him even stronger and faster.

Malia took the beating with grunts and groans. She was getting used to how strong the little slug was and was soon going to counter the next time he got close. He had her pinned and Malia just needed him a little closer so she could head butt him and end this fight quickly. She wasn't going to draw this one out. She heard gunfire and she jerked along with the fledgling. She was wrenched from his grasp and she fell to the floor. What the fuck was that?

Malia looked up to see Drake on his back trying to defend himself. Malia groaned, walked slowly over to them, and kicked the little vamp off the bigger one. Her kick sent the vamp high in the air where he hovered. "Oh yeah. The flying thing huh?" Now Malia was getting angry. This seemed near impossible if they had better tricks. The vamp came at her and she managed to duck out of the way. Too quickly it was on her and she was throwing punch after punch and she was taking them too. She was holding her own, her anger giving her some fuel, but she was tiring whereas the vamp saw her as food.

"Drake. Jump in any time. Preferrably with a shot to the heart or a nice big stic-" Malia was kicked into a wall. She braced herself for the impact and managed not to slam her head into the wall. She fell to her knees, glancing up, while trying to catch her breath. That last one hurt like a bitch.

Vladimir Koslo

He got to his feet and felt his control slipping, the damage, the lack of sustenance over a longer period and the fight had his beast begging for release...and he allowed it. In the end it would weaken him, but now it was the only chance he had. His eyes started to glow faintly, his teeth all grew into fangs and claws grew from the tips of his fingers, his nose flattened and the nostrils grew to wide slits. He pounced on the fledgling as he prepared to finish Malia off, gripping him in a Full Nelson Headlock and dragging him away. The Fledgeling snarled and writhed, but Vladimir held for all he was worth.

"Change damnit! You know you are strongest in your were form!"

He wrestled the Fledgeling to the ground, holding on for all that he was worth, but the brute power was slowly taxing him in his half bestial form. He ruefully thought that if the silly werewolf would have listened to him this would not have happened.

"And grab wood, silver is all I have. Hurry!"

Malia stared at the vampire and her mouth dropped open. She hadn't seen a change like this in ... well .. ever. It was fucking creepy. The vampire just picked up the little one and pulled him away. It was quite impressive. That was until that scary ass face stared at her and demanded she changed. She rolled her eyes. "You basically have him. Just kill him yourself."

Instead she followed his second commands and pulled a leg off a wooden chair. She walked over to the fledging and cocked her head to the side. "You're kinda cute." She slammed the wood into his chest. The sank deep and the little one made a horrorific scream before he stopped and died. That was the best way to put what happened next. Her mind couldn't comprehend what she had just seen. She was still blinking when she saw that Drake was losing that control.

"Go get some blood." She saw that would be near impossible for him in this state. "Fine!" Malia stalked off and went to the blood bank. It was harder than she fucking thought. Finally she just slapped down a $100 bill and said 4 bags. The guy looked at her weird, but brought her some blood. He had asked what kind, but she never thought to ask Drake what his flavor was. She got one of each. Malia returned and threw them at Drake.

As Drake drank she spoke so softly she wasn't sure he could hear her. "I can't change. I'm cursed. I'm too strong in my wolf form or some shit so as a kid a witch put a curse on my mother. It was foretold that in my wolf form I would be so strong I would take over the world. So I'm not to change into wolf form until I could find my true love who would be able to control me. Get this. Once penetration is complete I should be able to turn." Malia laughed. "Bullshit if you ask me."

Malia turned to Drake. He looked ... better. "Well, this was fun." She started out the door. She was going to go home and she had some explaining to do. Vampires were stronger than they were and had better tricks. She needed to read up on her vampire book and learn some new secrets of her own if her pack was going to start taking them out.

Vladimir Koslo

He could not remember much after he felt the fledgeling die and burn to ashes, as he tore into the blood that Malia had thoughtfully brought him he listened to her. It was interesting, a were strong enough to rule the world, that would make her stronger than most vampires...hell she might have been a challenge to him. He finished the last of the blood as she started out of the now ruined interior, he got to his feet and followed. Before she could go too far he spoke from his allys the shadows close to her, his cold voice would paralyze humans, but she was made out of sturdier stuff.

"We are now equal, I owe you nothing and you owe me nothing..."

He paused for a moment,

"We will most probably not meet again, but if you or one of your pack steps out of line and nedds to get killed or if you come after me, we will meet again only then it would be the death of one of us."

He stayed where he was, just in case the were had something to say.

"Equal are we? I think I saved you from being the thing you hunt by giving you blood, but semantics right?" Malia smiled. His words continued and her smile would only widen. Sooooo he wanted to give threats. Oh no. That will no do at all.

"Look her little vampire. There is one of you and there is over 20 (This was a low number. She didn't want him to know the true number of her pack which was over 50 and counting.) of us who will destroy you if you life one finger against us. Though I think the thought of you and I dueling it out to see who is better would be kinda sexy. Though you do have cooler powers. No worries I'll figure that one out."

Malia turned away from Drake and waved. "Bye." She walked away intending to never see him again. That was until she went home and read the book. He could control ... weres! Her eyes went wide with the knowledge. He had lied to her and said he could only control dumb animals. Did he think she was dumb. The more she read on vampyres the angrier she got. She finished the small book and stormed out of her home.

"Malia?"

"What?!" Malia turned to the voice and her eyes held death. The speaker backed away with hands raised. Malia went back running out into the woods. When she was far enough from her pack and any humans she started screaming.

"DRAKE! DRAKE GET YOUR DEAD ASS OUT HERE! I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME! YOU FUCKING LYING PIECE OF SHIT I SHOULD HAVE STABBED YOU WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE. SHOW YOURSELF. COWARD!"

Vladimir Koslo

At the precise moment he was holding a witch by the name of Gavin company, of course Gavin was none too happy about having a vampire in his shop, but seeing that this particular vampire had nothing against him, he did nothing about it.

"Nice spell you have here warlock, blocking my senses from gaining entrance and yet so kind of you to invite me inside."

Gavin smiled,

"Just because you have no aura it does not mean that I do not know that you are not a menace."

Vlad cocked his head to one side, he chuckled softly,

"Let me guess, Malia came in here and you gave her the book about vampyres?"

Gavin nodded,

"It was as it should be, you can kill me if you want, but it will not change the future."

Vlad grinned, exposing his fangs,

"How droll. I kill for reasons, not just because I can."

He turned and left the small shop, the only place open so late at night, he strolled into the woods and took his own sweet time in coming to where Malia was. He leaned against a tree with one shoulder, his arms crossed casually as he watched her fume and stomp around like the angry werewolf she was. Then he spoke,

"What do you want wolf? I am not at your beck and call you know."

Malia turned seeing him so casual. She stomped to him and slapped his face. His face barely moved. So she decked him. Before he could retaliate she jumped back and threw the book at his feet. "You said you control STUPID creatures." She pointed at the book. "It says you can control weres too. Am I a stupid creature? Did you control me in that warehouse? Can you control my family? My pack?! How many?"

Malia's voice had calmed down to a dangerous level. She was no longer screaming, but talking in a smooth voice. Her eyes were wide and angry and she was slowly stalking him like a wolf would stalk prey. Drake hadn't moved an inch, but she was still coming at him until her tiny frame was centimeters from his dead one. Her head tilted back to see into his eyes. If he made one wrong move the stake that she had in her jacket would go straight into his heart. From this distance there was no way for him to stop her.

"Remind me, slug, why I shouldn't kill you. You're a threat to my family and I'll kill you all."

Vladimir Kozlo

The blows stung, but he was growing stronger, he saw the intent in her eyes, she would kill him if he made the wrong move...but what would his undead life be without it? He grinned his fanged grin at her,

"So you believe everything you read wolf?"

He laughed, his laughter cold and heartless,

"You are just so gullible in your..."

He paused for effect, like a man searching for the right word,

"Pathetic arrogant anger."

His hand moved and he pressed his pistol right between her breasts,

"You can stab me and die in the process. You are angry about control over what vampires created? I can control all of your pack. You thought that I will not catch up to your lie?"

He gave her a cold grin,

"Not only did you lie to me, you fed me cursed blood. Guess what, I can't change now either, blood magicks is a bastard and I am bound to your curse."

He shoved her away from him with the gun and crossed his arms again.

"But in the light of our recent alliance I will tell you one truth. I did not control you, I were too weak back then."

The gun didn't faze her. She would die to protect her pack and right now this slug was a threat. She had brought him into her home. And yes, when Gavin gives her something to read she believes what's in the book. So she ignored all the bluster in his words and focused on the ones that she needed to hear. Vampires created weres (what?!) and he thought she was lying.

They were at a crossroad. Each deemed to kill the other. Though both parties looked as though they were just having a friendly chat. Him leaning against a tree seemingly relaxed, her inches from him, now talking instead of yelling. If it wasn't for her stake and his gun you wouldn't have thought differently. "Psh! I thought you would make it a fair fight. Guns? Really? Really?"

She didn't move and neither had he. "What do you mean I lied to you? I have never lied. What lie? And while you're talking you might as well explain how you .." she spit the word out. "Could create a superior species like us. Hell, one look at you and humans recognize you're not ... right. But us... we blend right in. Even marry some if they can keep a secret." Malia looked smug.

"So speak slug or forever keep your secrets." She knew he knew exactly what she meant by that line.

Vladimir Kozlo

"You told me that you have a pack of twenty, did you really think I'd just believe that? No Alpha becomes that strong with that few underlings, weak wolves guard over small packs."

He looked her up and down,

"Of course his second in command is quite strong as well, so why would you be that strong if you only had to stay in that position with about eighteen challengers?"

His eyes narrowed and a smile crept over his lips,

"You lied Wolf and if you are so superior, why don't you just kill me, show the world just how inferior I am to you?"

He shook his head,

"You and you're kind have been created to guard us, to bring us food. The easiest way to find food was for you to blend in. Hell I know of times when a wolf like you would use sex to bring food to her master..."

He chuckled drily,

"It was fun to see, the human pumping his cock into her and the next thing his neck gets pierced and his blood drained from him. Silly humans, do they actually expect a woman that pretty to be interested in them? Of course she fed on the remains. It was a good partnership all around, then you started thinking you are superior and started hunting vampires. And that battle killed off most of our species, in fact of mine few are allowed to procreate, we are not allowed children, nor Fledgelings. That is why the last one had to be killed and when I am strong enough I'm going after his master."

"I wasn't specific about the number in our pack. Plus, I'm strong, but can't change. I'm a freak of a mutt and wouldn't be taken seriously as Alpha. Even if I was Alpha I don't want the job. I like being just a wolf and wouldn't be the Beta if given the choice."

Malia was about to pull the trigger and just end his life and hers when his next words shocked her. He was admitting it. No! Her kind wasn't some slugs pet. The more he spoke the angrier she got. Malia took a step back needing air from him. To breathe. She needed more air, more air.

Her head shot up. Did he just admit that weres had nearly killed all vampires. Well, that brought her back around again. She was once again Malia the Bitch of all Bitches. Her eyes narrowed at the man. "How do you create fledglings? Just get them to have your blood? Also how did my blood stunt your change or whatever? Are you weaker now?"

So many questions. Answers just led to more questions. Malia stiffened. She was being called. Fuck! "You with me." She marched to him and once again started rubbing against him. She pulled back, sniffed, and rubbed some more. She lifted dirt and grass and rubbed him before rubbing him again. There now he smelled like the earth and her. Malia stiffened. She just realized what he smelt like. He smelled as though they had been tumbling in the grass; or fucking on the ground. She just prayed she could get him home before anyone smelled him.

"You're going back to my house until I get answers. Than I'll dispatch of you. And you do not get a say in this." Malia started to turn him around and march to her house when Jayne and 3 others came running up to them.

Jayne and Mitch were in human form Paulo and Alej from the smell of it were in canine form. Paulo and Alej stopped instantly and Malia knew with their enhance sense of smell they had came tot he same conclusion. They either interrupted some serious making out or fucking. It took Jayne and Mitch 2 seconds later to come up with the same conclusion as Jayne just stared at her than Drake real hard.

"Son of a bitch," Malia muttered knowing everyone could hear her.

"You're needed back at camp."

"He's coming with me. To my home. I'll meet you in the house."

Jayne stiffened. "So he's sleeping over now."

"None of your fucking business."

Jayne growled a warning of death at Drake which Malia assumed Drake wouldn't understand before the 4 males of her species ran off.

Vladimir Koslo

"You stated that there is twenty in your pack. I am weaker now, but then again it has been less than twenty four hours to recover from an almost total bleed out. Of course I am weaker now."

He watched her stiffen and the next thing the previously hostile, bent on killing him wolf was rubbing up against him. He sniffed his disdain, but said nothing as he sensed wolves approaching. One of them the Alpha, he was curious as to why she would want to kill him, yetto hide his scent if she want to kill him, then she took off, thinking he had no option left but to follow. She was wrong, he stood still, leaning against the tree, his pistol still at the ready. When she finally realized this he gave her that infuriating grin,

"I can outrun you wolf, what makes you think I am forced to follow you?"

"Because I will send the whole of my pack after your ass if you aren't within eyesight of me at all times. I will not have you hurting any of my kind, because of some stupid self delusions of some crime they committed. Am I clear?"

Malia turned again and started to walk off. "Besides you admitted yourself you are weaker. You wouldn't last long and you sure as well wouldn't take out on of us."

Malia hurried and escorted her guest to her house locking him up tight. She be damned he control any of the pups or any of her brothers and sisters. She went to the Main House and to a damn near 5 hour long meeting. There were tales of another vampire in the vicinity. A strong one that had taken out the one that had been terrorizing their human community. They had no definite answers, but they were going to seek outside help. Malia offered her book which she had in her back pocket, claiming that after she heard about them she wanted to know more about them. Which was the truth.

After the meeting, feeling, angry, annoyed, and riled up with pent up energy and no release Malia returned to her home. She had almost forgotten the vamp until he was there in front of her. "Mother fucker." Malia cursed to herself. "Do your spidey sense thing and tell me if there's another stronger vampire out there." She wasn't going to tell him that if there wasn't then her pack and a few other packs were going to start hunting his ass.

Vladimir Koslo

He looked at her and laughed at her,

"You think that you can just use me wolf? You can rather try and kill me before I allow you to use me like some common thrall."

He threw off his coat, the werewolf hunting weapons clearly on display,

"Your victory will come at a high price and if I win I will not get far, but your pack will suffer for your insolence."

His voice was low and calm, but his actions proved that he was not that calm at all.

"Like I stated, I will kill her when I am stronger. Leave me to do what I do best."

"I think with you so weak that I can do whatever I want. Now tell me if my pack and I are hunting another or you?"

Malia wasn't phased by his weapons though she was curious about some of them. She took a step closer examining some and wondering what they were. Like the circle thing or that one that looked like two frisbees; what the hell was that?

Malia laughed. "My pack will suffer my insolence?" She laughed again and again and again. When she realized he wasn't laughing she stopped. "Oh. You're serious." She sighed not wanting to fight, but needed him to do what she wanted. That's when she heard what he said and she grew puzzled.

"Her? Who's her? Is this another vampire, a stronger one? Tell me now."
