For the last hour or two, I haven' been able to access any US, UK, or Australian news sites.

The only news stories or sites I've been able to access are Xinhua and stuff.co.nz

Anyone else having trouble getting hteir news fix today?

Nope, I can't get Yahoos News to load, nor Reuters.com nor the AP site, and he link Lou provided doesn't even ask for a cookie after two minutes of waiting.

It's only news sites and only the primarlily English language news services that I can't access. Stories I've accessed earlier today will show up from my temporary internet files, but refrshing them just results in a blank page with a little hour-glass spinning along next to the cursor.

It's apparently problem with my system or ISP, but I have no idea how or why it decided I didn't need my news fix this morning.

Strange! Sounds like your browser is corrupt. I know you've probably already thought of this, but have you tried a re-boot? Often works for me when things get screwy.

The problem was apparently something on my system or it was a temporary problem somewhere else. Everything appears to be working now.

I was offline running system checks when you posted, but yes, it was ONLY news sites and none of the ones above worked. The others may or may not have worked but weren't tried until afte the problem went away.
