I don't know if you've been following this story, but I have... and I was SO glad to hear the baby had been found. Newborn Baby Found Alive

My heart just goes out to both these women... as wrong as the abduction was... what a horrible thing, for both of them... I'm just glad it has a relatively happy ending... and thank god that little one was born with a birthmark... like a little kiss from an "angel"...

I feel very sorry for the woman who stole the baby. And the woman who's baby was taken. The baby herself is fortunately young enough to not be affected much by this.

This happened not too far from where I live, so it's been all over the news. Even the sheriff looked a bit teary-eyed last night when they announced that Abby had been found. The whole thing is just heartbreaking. I hope everyone involved can find some peace now.

Abby back with her Mom is fantastic news but, I think it's a bit unrealistic to think that 'everyone can find peace now'. The kidnapper needs so much support. She's miscarried (that's a euphemism for aborted) a full term fetus.

What she did was wicked but I just hope she gets help rather than being treated like your standard perp.

They had the mother, grandmother and grandfather on Greta's show last night. Seemed like wonderful people. I'm not a shrink and don't know enough about the case, but it does seem like the kidnapper was mentally unbalanced. Still, I feel far less sympathy for her than the nice woman who had her throat cut and child stolen for days. I'm just glad it turned out Ok.

When I said that, I was also thinking in the vein of hoping the kidnapper could get the treatment she needs if found insane. You're right though, it probably is unrealistic at any rate. People want this woman's head, so I can't see her getting a truly unbiased criminal trial if she's found fit to stand.

I didn't read the entire story for days because the headlines mostly said "pregnant woman's throat slashed, baby taken" and I thought she was dead. It was too damned depressing even to contemplate reading. Then I realized she was alive, and now they've found her little one too. What relief on all accounts.
