Hi,

Obviously I'm new here; spent ages reading stories and posts but never posted myself. I'm looking for someone to tell me which category I should post survey questions to get a better understanding of people's behaviors and sexual preferences so I can write better stories.

Please would someone be kind enough to provide me with the answer?

Every question you could possibly think of has been asked here ad nauseum. Try doing forum searches for your questions before you ask them-- otherwise you risk some flaming. Sorry!

Write what you want to write. Seriously. The erotica writer's task is to make your readers believe that the characters are turned on by what they are doing, and get the readers to empathise so much that they too get turned on.

Lit has readers for pretty much anything you want to write. Long, short, kinky, romantic, edgy, vanilla... It doesn't matter. There are people here who want to read it.

Just write what tickles you, and direct your research toward finding which category you'll find the largest readership that will appreciate whatever story you want to write.

Any survey on any of the discussion boards cannot possibly be representative of the total membership (which includes all alts and dead accounts).

Given that number of members, someone is likely to appreciate every category. Some people even like my stories.
