Hi all.
I'm looking for a little guidance if I may?
I published my first story on the 8th March and it's still sat in pending. I read in the FAQ's that stories and poems generally take 2 - 4 days on average to be published. I've checked and it's not been set back and it's not sat in drafts.
It's childish of me I know, but I am eager to see what peoples responses will be to my works, as I've never tried writing before.
Where can I direct my query as to how much longer it will likely take?

Yours with peace, love and respect.

6 days for your first submission, sounds about right. If it's longer than about 10 days, then maybe send a PM to Laurel and ask her to check on it.

Be aware that if you make any edits after you have submitted, you drop back to the bottom of the queue. So, be patient and leave it alone.

And, when it's published, let us know!

I think new authors get a bit more of a review. If you prove that you are the type of inmate that doesn’t cause any problems to the guards, then you get privileges.

I mostly get my stuff posted within 48 hours nowadays. Haven’t had a rejection in months.

As I say, Emily Miller - Mostly harmless.

If you write in other languages it could take much longer. Simply because there are not much guards undrstanding what you write. In my case a couple of days. But I don't complain. It is good that there is someone doing the job.

Things seem to be going slowly just now - I've had stories in my queue for literally a couple of weeks and a Poem in the queue for nearly a month.

Not been my experience at all. Then I have been being super nice to Laurel.

Good to know Em. Thanks 😊
