Just wondering what everyones New Years Resolutions are?

I guess the first one will be to follow through with my resolution for longer than a couple weeks...LOL

My main resolution is to get my diabetes under control and get back on my diet and exercise regime. I have to stop pissing and moaning about it and just do it.

I am also gonna try to be more aware of some of my bad habits and correct them.

I resolve....

to get my health problems fixed.

to have my life go more smoothly.

to have the kids want to clean up after themselves.

to finally be with my love in June.

to lose more weight.

Well I don't ususaly make them cause I know I wan't keep them

but this year I will and it's to get my life in order.

I haven't even thought about it. But I think my New Year's Resolution will have to be to enjoy life more, to stop being stressed out over things I can't do anything about, and to stop worrying about everything, and to go to church, and... to have better sex! :D

I'm going to make an honest effort to care for myself and my children first, and the rest of the population later.

I'll try and accept compliments/kindnesses without suspecting that the person giving them has an ulterior motive.

I'll stop letting guilt over my good fortune force me to do/give more than I'm comfortable with.

I probably won't stop smoking, drinking, eating too much, or posting on lit. But I will visit the gym more often, spend more time on my horse, and finally lose that nasty extra 15 pounds.

2002

Well, "today" my resolutions are:

Feel better about myself;

Get a job (or win the lottery!);

Be less "Oscar" and a bit more "Felix"; and

Smile more! (This won't be as hard after February!);)

Right Now

To lose more weight
To finally pay off that last credit card and destroy it
To get a new vehicle
Be closer to my friends

Those are it for the time being. Although like most things in life, these are subject to change without notice.:D Later.

Good luck with the diabetes.

Are you needles,tablets or diet.

Or one of the lucky ones, all three?.

Another!
I'm a newly-diagnosed, type-1, diabetic.
Since getting out of the hospital, I've been amazed
how many of us (diabetics) there are. I just didn't notice
you-all until they hit me with the diagnosis.

Now we need a set of horizontal exercises for diabetics.

Pills and diet and exercise. Its been a year and still trying to get it under control. When I found out by accident a little over a year ago I was at 257 now with pills and diet (the diet part is difficult for an italian carbaholic) at last testing was 202...still to high, but slowly coming down.

My dr isnt a big pill pusher (which I like) and wants me to stay at the lowest dosage as possible. I have an appt in a couple weeks to see where I am at...if not lower considerably he will up my dosage or try a new pill.

I have been very very bad the past month with the stress of my dad dying and of course the holidays in an italian household is just like living in a cookie house. I notice stress has an influence on my levels. Also, I have been in this big denial thing--kinda ignoring it lately. At first I was very good at charting my foods/levels, and then it just got old and inconvenient. I now have to change my mindset and get serious about getting on track again.

The more I seemed to learn, the more confused I was. I have a good grasp on what foods effect me worse than others, I just have to really get strict with the diet. Before the past month I was going to the gym 4-5 times a week. I have to get back to that again--even though I hate it, exercise really helps alot. My levels were at the lowest when I was going faithfully to the gym.

I have been doing all the horizontal exercises in just about every position. It does help, but unfortunately not quite the same...LOL but I like a person with initiative :D

Maybe we can start sort of a mini support group here for members with diabetes....maybe give encouragement, recipes, tips, just general info that might help each other out. Even though I have had it for a year, I seem to learn new things all the time. Now I just have to get strict with myself and accept it. Anyone who is interested let me know. Good luck to everyone with diabetes in keeping it under control.

Ah, so you are saying that I need to check up on you more huh?

Okay luv2. I can do that. Yes, I am concerned about you and your health. I'm wishing you the best of health. I'll be dropping in and checking in on you Hon'. Best wishes to you and Dry. Please let me know what I can do for you. *hug and kiss*
