~ NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS 2004 ~

I still make several.... keep a few!! It's the thought that counts!! lol

This year, first of all, I want to make sure to have at least one night a month (if not more) for myself... to get away from the teenager to regroup, so to speak!!

More later... ~smile~

LizA:rose:

I've never been good at keeping resolutions, so I haven't made any for a long time. But...

My 21 year old son just walked in, and began expounding on the the virtues and heating capabilities of the gas fireplace and a small electric heater, vs. the gas boiler and radiators. He rattled off different BTU ratings per consumption hours. It's 1:25 am here, lol...

I hereby resolve to buy a pair of earplugs this year, and promise to use them only after midnight, and only when he's home from college.

:D

To help a friend keep her resolution.... pm me your addy and I'll send you some!! Hugs!!! (my teenager loves to go off on me for some reason at least every other day... lol) I feel your pain!!! ~grin~

Never one for keeping my resolutions, so haven't made any for a while, nut need a change in life so here goes..

1. Get fit (been saying that for years but actually want to get off my arse next year...

2. Fuck like there's no tomorrow... (don't think I'll have a problem with that one.. *S*)

I know I always make the usual ones about wanting to
be in better shape/fit and lose a few pounds there...but
the most important one I am making for 2004 is to work
on getting a new job, whether it be in the same field
that I'm in or different......I've been in the same place
for over 5 years, and I've hit the glass ceiling there in
terms of going after an assistant manager position
for the third time, and gotten turned down (again!).

May 2004 be a better year for me in terms of work!

I love your second resolution! :p

Without making any resolutions last year, I enrolled myself in a ladies-only workout chain. (Curves) I remember them asking me to give them my goal... what I wanted to achieve. I opted out, not able to commit to a specific amount of weight loss or certain dress size as a goal. I've never done a weigh in, or monthly measurements... maybe I was afraid of disappointing myself? Today I enrolled for another year. I've only lost about 16 lbs., but I'm stronger and healthier than I have been in the last 10 years. I bought a bikini last summer, lol... hadn't worn one in decades. I'm not model thin by any means, but I feel a lot better about me. That's all that counts.

Good luck! :rose:

We're all hoping to see you and Toni get together this year... Even a few days together can be so good for the soul.

Well I have not made any resolutions in years, I never keep them. But I was going to say my resolution is to make sure that AA and I get together at the very least a couple of times this year! For at least a few days. I want/need to get in better shape and healthier. I am going to try to do what I have to to lose weight, stay healthy, not miss work and spend time with Daniel, and with AA any chance I get. This year has been a rough one for quite a few of us, so maybe that was the storm, now we will have easy sailing for the coming year! I hope so.

Add a new one...

I'm gonna try my damnedest not to get angry everytime I see or hear my daughter's cell phone...

(Nobody asked if she could have it so I have to bite my tongue or have a real family blowout!!)

Smack! errr I mean bump...

Still pondering this one. I might have to go AA's route, and not making any. :rose:

I have posted this elsewhere, but my major goal for this year is natural childbirth . . . or at least not another c-section.

That, and to throw out the crap in my past with the trash.:p

Well the only new year's resolution i've got is to go once around the sun.

All i really gotta do is exist for that one =P

I WILL :

Quit smoking

Lose 20 lbs.

Regress further into my childhood

Pay my Visa bill

Find someone to assist in acting out my 3,478 fantasies

Take a real vacation

Fix my vacuum cleaner.....and vacuum

Go scuba diving....naked

Give up chocolate...except in unusual circumstances

Happy New Year, Red! I can't think of a nicer way to start the new year then having another little one to love :rose:

Maybe this fella can help you out with the rest?

Happy New Year, Toni... I hope your dreams come true in 2004!

Your av is a riot, I've been cracking up every time I see it! How did they get those to stay on? :D

I haven't had a New Year's resolution in years...but....maybe this year is different....

I'm going to search deep inside myself...find the true me...the one begging to be let out....and finally live to make myself happy and not everyone else. Sometimes, it is hard to be the person who worries about everyone else. This year, I want to worry about me....am I being selfish?

Just a comment from an OLD source..."To Thine Own Self Be True"--you need to do what you feel to make yourself happy and the pleasing of other people will take care of itself because of your caring nature!

Happy 2004! :rose:
