Considering the events of this past year, I feel the need to do something, however small, to insure that next year is better. I had a thought last night, while talking to Vixenshe, of possibly pulling together one effort on new years day. For the occult or ritual minded, this would mean a working which would be performed at the same exact time, or close to it, by all those participating. For our more orthodox friends, it means intensive prayer at that time.

I want to know, how many of you out there would be interested in joining me in this venture?

I think even magic deserves a day off..

Seriously though, I think the common rituals of the New Year, spending time with friends and family, getting drunk, and making wishes for the future, are just as powerful as an prayer or incantation.

I understand your point, Never, and I respect it, but at the same time, I want to do this. It's something that, succeed or fail, has the potential of bringing about a little positive change... even if that change is bringing total strangers that share a bulletin board closer together.

we dont need a huge following for this to work..."where ever 2 or 3 gather together I am with them" (i am not sure if i said the exact quote)

point is...as long as there is atleast someone trying on new years for this goal , it will work. No matter what you believe in .

Hi Birdie!

I would say yes but my schedule once I go home is too unpredictible. It's all I can do to ensure I do my daily yoga and meditation where I can it it in. but if y'all set it up, I can try to join in when I can.

Coolness... Of course, this is all quite a bit in the future, but still, very cool.

Now I've got three...

Okay, I hadn't bumped it for the morning crew, so I doubt they know this exists...

so I'm bumping it one last time.
