Toast without cheese?

All of my toast is without cheese.

And I haven't had any toast in months.

On the other hand, I haven't had any life either.

Oh yeah, and welcome, Brittany. Have fun.

I'll add my welcome to Britney and I'd like to point out (to everyone else in the AH and any lurkers too) on this forum we're about writing: verbs, tenses, POVs and all that malarkey. Personally I think there are any number of Lit members or visitors who refuse to enter the AH for that very reason.

I'm not saying if that's good or bad, just the way it is.

If you look at quite a few posted stories you will find that they contain measurements, mirror scenes and perfect bodies in the very first paragraph but they still get decent scores. But the thing is, in general, you won't find things like these in books that you have to pay for. (Books for which you have to pay.)

On the other hand prepositions are things you should never end a sentence with. And you find paid for books with any number of sentences ending with them. (and which start with conjunctives too.)

Generally, on the AH we find (royal we, I wouldn't presume to speak for any or all denizens) we find literary merit (whatever that is!) something to prize.

But that doesn't mean that you have to. It's a hard and wearisome road but it's one that you don't have to travel.

Keep writing.

Welcome to Lit, darlin'. Lots of nice and talented people here. Look forward to seeing your writings.

I think Gauche is right but...

It is better to know the rules before breaking them, and when you do break them, do it on purpose and for a reason. As Churchill once said 'This is the sort of English up with which I will not put'.

The best way to learn to write here, is to write, post and take notice of the comments. Then write again, again, and again, developing your skills. There are many people in Literotica who will help.

Well said. :)

Welcome Brit, if you ever need a hand give me a yell. And Og is so right, when I started here almost a year ago I was pretty bad. My writing has gotten so much better since then. Talk to the other authors, check out the how to stories, and read some of the great authors you'll find on the site. All of that helps to make you better.

Thank you

Thanks Daniellekitten and everybody for the warm welcome. I will certainly come and ask you guys for help with my next couple of chapters in my series, hopefully.
thanks for your support and advice.

Yeah, it's bad. But don't worry about it. Just keep writing; we'll get you in step. You're an AHer now. We take care of our own, for the most part.

Welcome and listen to Quiet Cool. They do look after you here. The advice they'll give you is invaluable and will help you develop as a writer.

Good luck with the stories Brittany. :)

Hi, Brittany and Hi, Britt. Welcome to Lit. and the AH, both of you if you are not the same person. I will download the story that appears early inn the thread and give you my opinion, but it will echo some of what has been said already. :D
