I'll add my welcome to Britney and I'd like to point out (to everyone else in the AH and any lurkers too) on this forum we're about writing: verbs, tenses, POVs and all that malarkey. Personally I think there are any number of Lit members or visitors who refuse to enter the AH for that very reason.

I'm not saying if that's good or bad, just the way it is.

If you look at quite a few posted stories you will find that they contain measurements, mirror scenes and perfect bodies in the very first paragraph but they still get decent scores. But the thing is, in general, you won't find things like these in books that you have to pay for. (Books for which you have to pay.)

On the other hand prepositions are things you should never end a sentence with. And you find paid for books with any number of sentences ending with them. (and which start with conjunctives too.)

Generally, on the AH we find (royal we, I wouldn't presume to speak for any or all denizens) we find literary merit (whatever that is!) something to prize.

But that doesn't mean that you have to. It's a hard and wearisome road but it's one that you don't have to travel.

The best way to learn to write here, is to write, post and take notice of the comments. Then write again, again, and again, developing your skills. There are many people in Literotica who will help.

Welcome Brit, if you ever need a hand give me a yell. And Og is so right, when I started here almost a year ago I was pretty bad. My writing has gotten so much better since then. Talk to the other authors, check out the how to stories, and read some of the great authors you'll find on the site. All of that helps to make you better.
