New Writer - Protest

It is always something, isn't it, outside the content? Always a personal attack when you have nothing rational to offer?

I have been Posting stories on Literotica since 2003, check my incept date if you doubt, and I have been participating on this forum for the same length of time.

From 2003 through 2008, during the Bush years, not a day went by without a political thread bashing Bush and Cheney. All of a sudden with the Liberals a waning moon, they don't want to talk politics anymore, imagine that?

Politics is the process and method of decision-making for groups of human beings.

Decision making by humans implies rights and wrongs, you know, moral and immoral, the things behind every writer's message.

I have a point of view on everything, it is my point of view and I will express it. I would be in a Gulag in the former Soviet Union, I would be in prison in China or Vietnam or Cuba and I may have my Threads moved and I may even be banned from the Author's Hangout, but I will not sacrifice my principles to those who have no principles.

Thank you.

Amicus

That's nice. I find your point of view tiresome and wrong headed and totally self-centered. And freedom of speech thinks it's just hunky dory for me to say so, right? :)

I don't engage you in content, because you are just so, so off the wall. You've even stated here that there's no reason why you should be held accountable for the "facts" you use. As long as your prose gives you an ejaculation, that's good enough for you.

I think we need a filter to keep the Infidels of the GB off of here. Maybe a special log in linked with your author ID or something. The GB is chuck full of the Amicus type why the hell can't they just stay amongst their ilk? especially seeing they are so superior to us over there using their big words and such. Rush Limbaugh wannabees, and failed politicians.

As wonderful as the experience was for you and your lover, a transcript is generally pretty uninteresting to everyone else. Stories have beginnings, middles, ends, conflict, character development, world-building-- even in the most rudimentary of forms.

I absolutely agree. As someone who suffers through reading transcripts in another part of my life, it is tedious to have missing elements. You could consider your current draft as a free flow writing exercise and build upon it to incorporate some of the suggestions.

I have to beg to disagree as someone who's been co-writing via messenger for years upon years that they are boring and uninteresting. It's all about the form you take. If it's all dialogue in first person present tense, maybe some second person going on if you aren't morally opposed to godmoding... yeah, it's going to be boring, and if it's typo-laden, so much worse! This can be used as world-building as little snippets in a larger story, however, and add more depth.

However, if you put some effort into the world-building, character development, conflict... really discuss what you want to do beforehand, instead of just copying out your cybersex session and then... then write it in THIRD PERSON instead of going between two I-voices... you can get a pretty darn good transcript and all it takes is a find and replace to kill the screennames, and poof, a story written by two. I've done this for years with a writer whose voice well matches my own. Though none of this work will ever make it to this particular site, I've had readers comment they couldn't tell two people wrote it.

Not only could it be shared, but the experience was wonderful for us too, thankyouverymuch.

But my point is that, in order to successfully do live writing and get a good story, it takes a lot of work. We double chat window, so we can discuss the motion of the story without getting in the way of our narrative. One of us usually takes the primary lead in directing the narration and action to keep it constant, while the other supports. If we write first person, one person does all of the writing while the other provides supportive information such as dialogue for our split characters. A lot of time and effort goes into crafting a story that can be read and enjoyed as well as being fun to write, and we have our cake, and other people can eat it too.

If you have spelling errors running rampant in your live-form writing, you are doing it wrong. Same with grammar. Write with the proper grammar in your live form and save the trouble in the first place. It's for readability, guys! Most people don't care about your live-string of fapping stories.

This is why I can't cyber. I've been spoiled. I know how to write a real story live. I just can't get down with "I take off my pants (and put on my robe and wizard hat)."

Only as government becomes more pervasive does it seem to prompt you conformists to note that this is a 'private' site, hell, everything should be and it should be so without censorship, restriction and regulation.

For fuck's sake, ami, not everything is political. Take a breath. Step away. If you have a problem with what Laurel does or does not permit, then fine, but to go on yet another political tirade and talk it to death will accomplish what, exactly?

Go back to the GB if you're so fucking unhappy with the AH.
