Do I like writing? Yes, of course, I do! And I will continue to write because I do it for myself! I'm just not sure I care much for those who criticize me for the things I write!
You - we - don’t have to care much for them. It would however be foolish to simply ignore everything but favourable comments. Some, the hostile-on-principle knuckle-draggers and bitchy trolls, can certainly be waved off and bad cess to them. On the other hand, one can learn and improve from judicious criticism.
I agree whole-heartedly with that sentiment. (hmmm ... the word "heartedly" is giving me a red squiggly line beneath it. I thought that was a real word damnit.)
