No, I am not a rock star. I was just one of the horn players (soprano, alto, baritone). But I did get to meet (and occasionally play with) a few boys and girls who went on to bigger and better. In the early days, some of the ‘trads’: Humphrey Lyttleton, Acker Bilk, Kenny Ball; and then Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Keith Emerson, Mike Walker, and a few others. Also, a few of the US jazz greats. My own playing days came to a crashing halt when I picked up an obscure virus that wiped out part of my lungs. It’s hard to play baritone sax when you don’t have a full set of lungs.Do we have a rock start amongst us?
