I've been writing for over three years now... I'm trying to figure out how i can get my stuff recognized though. Any suggestions?

You might try submitting it for publication.

Enter a themed contest. As a reader, I get introduced to writers I might not have otherwise read, because they are featured on the contest page.

Leave public comments for other writers. Sometimes they will come and read your stuff after that and your name will start to get around. (But don't say, hey come read my story in the comment, because that's cheesy).

Look for threads that are advertising new stories and poems and add yours.

Put a link to your stories on your writer's profile in your signature.

Get the stories out there and they will come or at least cum. Building a following takes time....

You might try posting here a bit 'till folks know you, entering theme story contests (Halloween's next), writing in a variety of Lit. story categories and leaving PCV's for other authors.
