New story

[Latina]

Back in August, I wrote what I consider one of my best stories, and sent it to Laurel. When it still hadn't showed up in October, I sent it again. Here it is December, so after 4 months, I decided to just post it on my OWN web site, and to add some of my favorite illustrations of us. Some of the details of the two main men in this story are based on my own first and second husbands, but I set it back in the early years of San Francisco (I live about 50 miles from San Francisco). Most of the action is set around the 1870s. The sex scenes are based on how we celebrated my 50th birthday (nothing like drawing from actual experience to make your fiction seem more realistic).

Let's examine the facts, shall we. The story was submitted in August and here it is December when it is finally posted. Latina, I applaud you for starting your own website. I can see why the patience was lost in the process. To wait 3 months and more for a story to be posted after you've poured your heart out with it can be quite exhausting. Literotica is a great website, don't get me wrong. Afterall, it is ranked #1 on drbizzaro.com's story list. But I think a month should be the maximum time allowed for posting a story.
If Laurel is in need of assistance with her website (i.e., story editors, proofreaders, etc.), I'm sure that there are a few of us Literoticans who are willing to accommodate her and Literotica.

The link was started 11-03-2000 to announce that the NEW story submission portion of the script was open for business. It was around a month later that the script based story section was operational.

I'm surprised that since you were one of the most vocal about the backlog, you're one of the first to forget that it's no longer a problem. My last story was less than a week from submission to posting. I don't know for sure what the current average time is, but it is far less than a month.

Actually, I'm sitting as I say this.
Come to think of it, I submitted my most current story about a month ago and it was posted about a week later. You may be right, WH. I am man enough to admit when I'm wrong. But let's just say that I may not be right this time. (LOL)
