New story up

New release on a Sunday? Tough draw I've gotten to the point if it does not post by Saturday I click pending and set it back. I've had crap luck with Sunday.

As for your story.

I left you a comment (I know, ruining the neighborhood over there) and I will repeat here the love/hate knowing she shouldn't but unable to help it was very well handled. It was a great read.

But know something PL? You piss me off.

Just when I look at what I'm working on and feel like I've gotten a lot better and its pretty good....

I read something of yours.

Sighs and kicks a can.

Ah. My work here is done. ;) I kid, I kid.

Thanks for reading and I'm glad you liked it. I even had a consultant, Stella, to help with a couple of thing. :)

As for posting on Sunday, I had submitted it last Monday and was just waiting to see what happened. It's up on other sites, and I put links on Facebook, my blog, etc., so some people will see the links.

One question -- are you sure you put a comment? Because I don't see one from you (or anonymous). But thanks again for reading!

I checked and did not see it. Maybe I forgot ot hit submit after preview? Anyway I added it now.

But I think you should get a point off for bringing in the girl/girl guru Stella;)

Thanks for the comment. :)

Well I just had a couple of questions for her. As I told her, I wanted this not to be some frat-boy version of lesbians. Plus I had a toy question. ;)

Oh, like mine? :D

Toys I could answer, but I'm strictly a lipstick lesbian writer myself. Probably send Stella frothing.

I guess I avoided the Lipstick Lesbian trap, although I'm not entirely sure what an LL is. But I'll keep not writing them. :)

Oh, LLs are wonderful creatures, and there is no reason whatsoever to avoid writing about them. Having just read your story, I would say that yes indeed, that was certainly a LL story...at least in my mind, anyway.

:)

Simply great. Neat balance between sex and emotional conflict. Yes it's LL but not the least worse for that.

Don't see it as 'frat-boy' lesbianism as the story revolves around the emotional friction between the two supported by some sex. The ending proves the point.

Really a true lesbian story and you deserve a pat on the back. Congrats.

Already told you what I think about the story. *nods*

Great story

Thanks for starting this thread otherwise I would have missed a great story.

A question some what off topic if you will indulge me. Is there value in commenting on an older story? There are so many stories that I have not read and I wonder if I should take the time to comment on ones that have been around for years. I always vote but do not always comment on older stories.

Yes, there's value. The comment appears for the author to see on the author's submission page. It also appears on a Feedback section of the Stories page. Apparently readers do check this section, but old stories often get new votes and views and comments after someone has commented on them.

There's certainly value to the author. :) I didn't know about the feedback page, or I'd forgotten, but it's good to know new feedback might bump a story's visibility a bit.

And thanks for the feedback.

Agreed.

I'm just coming back to Lit after several years away, and I'd certainly like to hear feedback on the one story I do have up right now.
