I don't like the new search feature, search.literotica.com instead of literotica.com/stories/story_search.php

It dosn't fit in with the rest of the site, it looks more like eHarmony with the style. When I try to search for new stories within the past week in a specific category, I'd get no search results.

Also, just plain WHY did they change it?

From what I could gather, the new search feature searches the story's text apart from the keywords and the name of the story, author, etc., which is why it was changed. Improved, actually.

I might be wrong.

edited to add: Also, a poetry search has been added.

I'm holding out my verdict until I've played with it more. The url is better :) It seems like it will put more importance on author assigned tags, for better and for worse.

The results given seem narrower, again, for better or worse. They seem more likely to be what's searched for, but yield less stories that might be interesting to a browser, but don't fit the exact terms of the search.

For some reason the new search doesn't allow you search for stories designated as "Hot". I'm also not getting any results for searches that are set for a week and newer.

That's what I noticed too, I liked the old one, it fit into the rest of the blue and white style better. Now it's like how the author profiles have the jellybean buttons and all that.
