New Poetry Class?

Hi Friends. I've been wondering why there's not a classification for epic poetry. I've got a saga that has 46 verses to it, and it does tell an erotic story, so what can we do to get an extra category? Thanks to all of you for your helpful suggestions. Sincerely, Uncle Pervey, (DOME!)

Even though it would be nice to have an epic category, we'd then require other categories: sonnet, villanelle, haiku, prose-poetry, and the list goes on...

Another option for epic poems (if they have more than 750 words), if you think that would help in any way, is to submit them as stories, under whatever category you want.

I can understand where you're coming from. The content of some poetry is disturbing. I try to remind myself of everyone's freedom to express themselves. So, I simply don't go near incest poetry or stories. I find them to be... I'll just keep that to myself. Oh, I should make it clear that writing a poem about one's personal trauma at having been molested is something different. I just don't like poetry that glorifies the act. Though, I'm sure his poetry feeds the cravings of many with those sort of fantasies. I'm sure that any of my poems with bdsm elements are disgusting to some. Anyway, kick a nut for me.

Hi you lovely vivacious ladies. I most definitely agree with you on some things, and like you, I disagree on others. i should not speak for the writer's intentions, but with art in the eye of the beholder and all that, here is what i see

i see not the glorification of incest or other illegal actions, but a rather burlesque attempt - thru offbeat humour - to ridicule the incest porn myth - among many other. the uncle writes for laughs (tho we might choke on them) and not for stroke. that is at least the effect on most readers, i assume

there are stories here, aplenty and in several categories, that are written for true suspension of disbelief and titillation, that if acted out would cause much trauma and hurt. incest, nonconsent, mind control (albeit improbable) are illegal practices. a big part of of anal, celebrities, some of first time, bdsm and interracial are too - describing acts of forceful coercion, aka daterape
