Hi all! We've just added new categories for poems with accompanying audio or artwork - Illustrated Poetry and Poetry With Audio. We've had such work on the site, but we've finally gotten around to creating new categories for these works.

If you're interested in submitting audio poems, here's a part of the FAQ that might help:
http://www.literotica.com/faq.shtml#audiotext

If you're interested in adding original artwork or photographs to your work, check this out:
http://www.literotica.com/faq.shtml#illustsub

If you have any questions about any of this, or if the FAQ is unclear, feel free to PM me. Thanks for being so talented and cool, and talk soon! :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you, &nbsp Laurel!

We (or at least I) have felt that you don't care very much about our efforts/inputs on your site, since we don't produce much revenue for Literotica, This is particularly true for those of us who do not produce much "erotic" poetry.

I wish that the Poetry Forum had a bit more individuality and promotion, but I appreciate that you let us publish what we want.

Now, just let us post using full HTML and I will really be happy!

Regards, Rybka

thanks laurelita*smooch* you've inspired me, two-fold.

Thank you, laurel. The new categories will rock the poetry world. :D

Wonderful! I can't wait to begin to post my drawings along the poetry... :D

Thanks, Laurel! *hugs*

edited to add: hey, Eve! looky looky: I'm all geared up for your challenge

Well, I've been trying for some time now, but can't get an answer to my PMs. Tried twice last week and I had sent another some time ago...

Re: Illustrated poems: is it possible to submit poems with its text entirely embeded in the illustraction? Like this or this, for example. These aren't exactly illustrated poems (an illustration is accessory, in this case the image is the poem) so the FAQ doesn't include them. If it's possible to submit them, what would be the procedure?

Thanks, Laurel.

Just submit a new poem with text field blank. Put the link to that .jpg or .gif in the notes with an explanation that the poem is the pic.

Oh wait. I'm not Laurel.

I hope I do in a pinch.

If it is not possible to post such poems, then it should be. Look at all the poems in the Pic-A-Thon thread that should be posted and are not! :)
If we can't do it on Literotica, then we will have to wait for Eve or someone else to open a new poetry site, but by then the poem will be out of season. The buds are beginning to break open.

P.S.: Lauren, thank you for all your creative and technical assistance. :rose:  I still wish you would "spectrum fade" colors in the credit line to highlight all you have done, since you won't let me give you credit as co-author. :(
You know how important "display" in poetry is to me! I think of this as a collaboration, as in a song: "words by Rybka", "Music by Lauren.Hynde"
I can write the words, but in terms of computer programming I am tone deaf. :(

Muah Laurel

This is great news! I've had trouble submitting such poems in the past, so I'm excited to have this new and improved method!

And thank you to the lovely Ms. Hynde for making the request and, oh, about a million other things.

There's no new news yet, Ange. :D

But I guess we can try Muffie's plan while we don't hear from the boss...

I have submitted our poem using the Muffin plan. It is listed as "pending" as of now, so we will wait and see what happens.
I also asked that clear instructions for posting such poems be posted somewhere easy to find on Literotica.
Thank you for all your effort Lauren. :rose:  :rose:

Well, "Transitions" is still pending, but it already has three views. :) How is that possible?

We must have at least stirred the pot a little; there were more illustrated poems today than I have ever seen before! :)

Each time you click that "pending" link from your member's page, it counts as a view. They're all yours. :D

How do you know all this stuff?

Hmmm......time to try again. Thanks for all the instructions and in-put. I might manage it this time.

:)

Still, my beating heart...

A tickle in the right place, a nibble or two, and you'll be singing like a canary.

Was there any reason offered for it, Rybka?

i've never had any submission rejected, but I understand that "rejected", like "pending" is a link and often leads you to some kind of explanaition for it.

I suspect it could have something to do with the size...
