A new tape was broadcast on Al Jizzera today, and US officials say it sounds authenic. The voice threatens global retaliation for an attack on Iraq, yadayadayada. Good, come out in the open so we can get a clear shot motherfuckers!
My question is in this age of digital reproduction, and mapping, how can anything verbal be believable? Everyone on earth has a digital camera, how come no tease pics of Osama moonwalking or something? Maybe him peeing on a picture of Dubya? Hell, even a amateur kidnapper knows to be believable, you send a picture of the kidnappee with a current newspaper in the pic!
Coincidence that it's released the day after the Iraqi vote?

Either you're extremely ignorant, or you're being deliberately disingenuous. Which is it? Central Asia has enormous oil and gas reserves, and Bush seized on the Afghanistan campaign as an excuse to base U.S. troops in several oil-rich neighboring Central Asian countries. Also, although Afghanistan does not have significant amounts of oil itself, it is important as the route of a proposed oil pipeline from Central Asia to Pakistan.

But of course, anyone who is at all well informed already knows that.
