New Milestones Thread

That's Incest/Taboo for you, basically. Any good story there accrues views and votes very quickly. I'm almost to 2k votes on one of mine and I'm just a no-talent hack

I don't know if the audience has gotten larger over time, or how long you have been here when you post the story matters, but if I look at the numbers of my older taboo stories, their numbers are nowhere near the ones I've put out the last four or five years.

Or maybe those stories were awful and I've gotten better...there's always that.

It took me months to set up so many alt accounts, but it's all been worthwhile!

I salute your technical prowess. I'm not so skilled. I've been trying to set up KeithIsAPoopyPants and WandazAWeirdo and DoomIsDaBomb for weeks and it's still no go.

Try CyberWeaselIsDeranged.

I hear that's not taken.

The series overall - 5 stories - is at 6800 votes from a smidge under 500k views.

I wrote the first story specifically to tap into the I/T readership, but even so, I'm still astonished by the numbers.

It's so satisfying to feel the LOVE. But for some, it does take that kind of effort.

I'm satisfied with knowing I'm almost "LIKED".

Self love is the highest love of all.

Self love is the highest love of all.

And Lit does promote self love.

Nice! It's a lovely story.

Thanks so much. Appreciate it.

Being the woman is older, I wonder if you would have had bigger response in mature?

Probably, but it was important to me that it go in FT, and if you read it, you'll understand why.
It's a very personal story and I was never looking for ratings with this one. I just wanted to tell it. Needed to. I came very close to not turning on the rating function.

That's a very different story and in that sense, you're right because you're not going for numbers or viewers. Hope writing it made you feel better.
I have one in romance like that.

Taken, it will have to be XCyberweasalisderangedX

There's a lovecraft69 registered here, or was at one point, and someone asked me if they were my alt.

[Trionyx]

It might not stay there but the story's been voted on 185 times in two days. I'll take this little victory, even if it doesn't last.

Uh-oh. You've just put a target on your back. Here come the ones and twos.

I was just checking on an old story because a character from it appears in a new story that just went up this morning. The story has the same number of Faves as Comments, which seems... unusual. Anybody else think so, or am I just smoking dope?

(NARRATOR: Publius, in fact, has not smoked dope in decades.)

[TheLobster]

The number of favorites seems typical for EC but the number of comments is unusually high. Considering the very high rating, it must be a remarkable story if it compelled readers to express themselves so frequently.

I thought @NoTalentHack was the only one, do you guys have a club?

He's the no-talent hack. I'm just an off-label, generic product.

No Talent Hack is like Highlander. There can be only one.

I made a special effort with the language in the non-erotic parts of that story, for character reasons. It definitely struck a chord.

The one you have to carefully bend over to get on the bottom shelf?

Model Sister just hit 10k votes six days shy of its one year anniversary.

My 71st story has been published.

For someone that can't write or spell, I think its an achievement of sorts.

Follower 601 appeared today and I'm just shy of 800k views. I'd say finally that I'm fairly successful at this and it makes me feel good.

[alohadave]

I got my 300th follower today.

My first story, published in 2022, in Essays, has suddenly been found again. The LW trolls found it early and 1 bombed it. So as of right now, it is at 3.22 with 244 votes. the score has been very incrementally rising over this time, but in the last two weeks, I have had five more save it as a favorite (my favorite metric).

However, even if I assume that those who saved it as a favorite also gave it a 5, with that number of prior votes, it did not move the needle much, and how much is not figurable.
