New House for a New Year

My wife and I will be starting the new year by moving into a new house. Escrow closed yesterday and the next two weeks will be spent moving into the new place. Everybody here is invited to a house-warming on Jan. 15.

It was not intended that we would be moving in January. We sold our old house in August and expected to be moving into the new one in October but changed our minds about the location after reading about killer floods in the last few years. The new house is identical to the other one we were going to buy but it is in a safer location and costs more.

It will have five bedrooms but one of them is going to be used as an office for me. I will be able to spend hours there writing smut and posting to these threads.

Thanks for the good wishes. We are in the process of moving in now. The kitchen has granite countertops that we had to seal and most of the floor downstairs is tile and we had to seal that. We have also painted the garage and the room where I will set up shop. It is purple, so I should be able to turn out plenty of purple prose, starting in a few days.
