Hi everyone! I am new here, looking for a place to learn to write better. I am currently working on a few articles to submit to magazines to see if I can get published. I don't care about money, or anything like that, I just love to write! My first one that was put on literotica is just too mushy and romantic. I was told it wasn't the kind of stuff to post here, but I did anyway. It's a true story about my husband and I though. :) So it will hold a special place in my heart anyway. I moved on to other stuff, which I hope gets posted soon.
I didn't put my email address in my profile, because quite frankly, I was afraid of people contacting me for reasons other than writing. Have any of you ever had this happen? And is it best to post your email addy? Waiting for your responses....

Hi Daphnye

I see you've only just posted and would have waited until an 'author' turned up with more details than I can give - as I don't post stories - but decided to say "hi" anyway, as long as I'm here.

I didn't make my email addy available to start with either, for the same reasons. Play safe and set up an account exclusively for Lit [and any other 'adult' related] email. Have you signed up with Lit's email?

While you are waiting for replies from people more in the know than me, why not have a search around the site for topics which you are interested in. All of the questions you raise are almost certain to have been addressed elsewhere, and it would let you get used to the world which is Literotica. Have fun!

Oh don't worry !

I'm kinda new to this place too, so I feel you. I was a little worried about what the response e-mails would be like, but I've had no probs so far at all! Actually, I LOVE getting feedback on my stories and everyone so far has been really cool. If your're worried about it, try creating a special e-mail account just for it, or if worst comes to worst you can always just block a sender. Good luck! :)

I'm a Literotica writer. ;) And proud of it.

I've posted an email address I use solely for Literotica correspondence. While I have gotten some mildly creepy letters, the vast majority have been wonderfully complimentary. I don't think you should cheat yourself out of that thrill of getting a fan letter because you're afraid of the one bad proposition. Hell, I get more spam shit in my box for XXX sites than I do dubious emails from readers.

If someone suggests something inappropriate in a letter, I just write back to the person that I am glad they liked my story. I say I'm flattered, but married. I keep it friendly and I've never had a problem.

People do get hate mail, but I've never gotten any.

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks alot guys. I really appreciate all the resonses! I am married too, and so far my husband has enjoyed me doing this...hehe, but I don't want to take the fun out of it for him by having strange men approaching. I'll have to create that other account so I can get some feedback! That sounds like fun!
